I tried the Nasi Lemak with Kuning and while the sweet and spicy sambal was surprisingly addictive, the Kuning fish itself unfortunately wasn’t very fresh. Thankfully, the peanuts and ikan bilis were nice, they were crispy and tasted fresh. However, for a brand named Uncle Otah, their otah was quite disappointing. The flavor was average, but the biggest issue was the texture. The fish paste seemed to be processed way too finely, resulting in a consistency that was too smooth and homogeneous. It completely lacked that essential bite you’d expect from a decent otah. I could barely taste any fish chunks in the otah paste.

A friend bought it for me while visiting my home. Hubby and I got addicted to it ever since. We would go patronise the stall every other week or when the craving gets real. Very reasonably priced. We bought it for pot luck party and it was very popular amongst our friends! Staff were friendly too. Haha I just realised I didn't mention what item I was raving about - otah. Haven tried the rest yet.

Courteous staff manning this decently tasty Otak, Nasi Lemak, Mee Siam & other local Kueh. Portion wise matches it's pricing, no frill buy & go stall ❤️

Spotted on more than one occasion whereby both sales ladies "forgot" to pass the change back to elderly customers, please be mindful when patronising this store, food is of subpar standards, doesn't tally with the snobbish attitude of the staff.
