Lor Mee at Lor Ah Soo 🍜 — proper old-school comfort. The bowl comes with a deep, dark braised gravy that’s thick, glossy and full of umami. Is rich with savoury depth, slightly herbal, not overly starchy, and coats every strand of noodle nicely. A solid, shiok bowl for anyone who loves robust, braised-style lor mee. Definitely one of those bowls you’ll remember and come back for. 😋
View on GoogleDelicious Lor Mee that is worth the time queuing up for it. Full of ingredients, shredded duck, hard-boiled egg. Minced garlic, sambal chilli, cut chillies and vinegar are available to add till you desired.
View on GoogleI recently visited a hawker centre near Lorong Ah Soo — and honestly, I can’t even remember when I first saved this place! When we arrived, there was already a long queue at the Lor Mee stall, which immediately caught my attention. That’s exactly why I decided to give it a try. Even though the line looked long, it actually moved quite fast, and I’d say it was definitely worth the wait. The meat was incredibly flavourful, clearly braised for hours, and the gravy had just the right richness. I really loved the taste — and judging by the crowd, many others did too!
View on GoogleFood is very flavourful and portion small is just nice for a person. Service food prepared by owner auntie, slow and steady. Atmosphere is nice, slow and stress free compared to other place. MUST support the hawker food; especially these manned by owners who are really passionate about their food.
View on GoogleOrdered $4.50 lor mee. Minimum wait time. Summary Customization : wonderful Gravy : great thx to me Noodle : great Ngoh hiong : below average Egg : average Chicken floss : average TL'DR You can add as much well mashed garlic, chili and vinegar as you want. So in the end gravy was nice largely thx to me. By itself it is not very viscous. Taste wise i made it very nice. Noodle was great as it catches the gravy well and have bit of spring. Ingredients nothing to write home about. Chicken floss was unique while it is a nice touch it is not silky so the texture is not there even though it adds a nice dimension to this lor mee.
