If your looking for curry fish head around the neighbourhood, this would be a good suggestion to try. Their fish head curry is pretty rich albeit a bit watery but I thought the flavour was good & had to limit myself from ordering another plate of rice! Omelette was really fluffy & the beef rendang was nice though not the typical malay style. Will return when we have fish head curry cravings!
View on GoogleService was excellent. Food was good . Food come fast . The fish tail curry was good and petai prawn was excellent. The place was clean and the staff is polite. Would recommend anyone that wish to come to eat their fish head curry . There enough place for Big family.
View on GoogleA wonderful homey family run restaurant with consistently delicious, lovingly prepared food and warm atmosphere. We have been here a few times and our favourites are the curry fish head, grilled eggplant, cabbage & egg (but actually everything on the menu is great) We brought friends from overseas here and they loved it so much. Highly highly recommend this place!
View on GoogleThe staff upsold us this fish head they claimed to be sea fish and told us it was $40. The one in menu was $32 . When the bill came, it was $45! The staff just told us he said wrongly and also the head he gave us was bigger. He did not apologise or offer to give us back the difference. Just excuses. I have tried to support the shop by readily agreeing to the upselling. However, I do not appreciate excuses like ‘a bigger fish’ and when i said it was not mentioned, then suddenly became a misquoted price. Does not mean you are family run shop, it is an excuse to just price carelessly outside of menu and charge otherwise. If they can be dishonest about their prices. I am not sure what kind of food they serve. Likely it is the same $32 fish head they have served me. Chai po omelette was too sweet. i saw they scoop beef rendang from a big container. So, likely no difference from a glorified cai fan stall. To add, it is extremely expensive for such a place to charge 2.50 for rice and 10 for a small plate of french beans that arrived cold, maybe scooped from another container .
View on GoogleI dropped by Curry & Curry at Hougang Street 21 for a light lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how satisfying the meal turned out. The minced spinach was smooth and comforting, with just the right seasoning to bring out its natural sweetness. The grilled eggplant had a lovely smoky char that paired beautifully with steamed rice, while the sambal kangkong added a punch of spice and fragrance without being overwhelming. What I really appreciate is how these simple vegetable dishes were cooked with care—flavorful, balanced, and not oily, making it a perfect lighter option compared to heavier zi char meals. The staff were warm and attentive, and the homely atmosphere made the experience even better. A great spot in the neighborhood whether you’re here for their famous fish head curry or just a wholesome, fuss-free lunch. Highly recommended!
