Ordered a masala dosa, iced teh tarik and a plate of briyani basmati rice. The food was surprisingly decent despite the reviews. The curries that came with the dosa also balance out well with the dosa itself. I may consider trying their main courses (chicken chop rice etc) next. Only KNS (kanna sai) moment was when the cashier tried to charge me $5 for the briyani rice by itself LOL, but it was negotiated to $2 a while later. I’m also amazed by the cutlery container having engravings to what seems to be the Apple logo. Fascinating

Visit date: 15 Nov 2025 Actual rating: 3.0 I ordered my prata meal, then opened Maps to have a quick look at reviews... oops, "worst prata", "ranks last" comments got me worried! 😆 Turned out to be mostly true, unfortunately 😞 Their prata is doughy to start with! While made fresh, the plain prata lacked fluff and tasted like it's been left out there for a long time!! Strangely, egg prata had the same texture -- very likely, they didn't spread the raw egg all over the dough before folding it. So most of it tasted like the kosong one. One problem could be the heat 🤔 being too gentle, thus failing to even create a hint of a crust. I'd never tasted egg prata so bad, if I discount the version where raw egg is cracked over a cooked plain dough and refried 😆 The mutton meat ($5 serving) wasn't too bad; not the tenderest kind but not tough either. Very flavoursome 😋 Fish curry was savoury as well with the expected saltiness (which I've come to accept!). Teh tarik possibly saved the day-- that's one thing I'd come back for when at Hougang MRT / bus interchange. I ended up leaving a good portion of both prata uneaten. That's not common, I must say. Oh well, not every food venture will turn out satisfactory. At least I've given this place a shot, instead of just looking in each time I passed by, he he. (For the record, #MHTamChiak thinks the crispy prata at Ave 8 is overrated and not worth the wait 😉 Rather head to Springleaf anytime if the craving arises lol 😆)

I ordered chicken briyani, an Indian guy named RAM gave me rice briyani and some organ, totally dishonest and disgusting. When I went back to look for him, he still can twist and turn said I ordered for chicken liver briyani, I don’t eat organ and so I will never order. Very Dishonest staff !

Their signage says it all. Worst Maggie Goreng.. Ordered Maggie Goreng and it’s not the usual red non spicy one but filled with chilli padi. But on their menu was the red maggie Goreng, really misleading. I understand that there are shops that sells maggie Goreng that is non red too and they will state Maggie Goreng Merah for the red one. However, if they are serving the non red one they should at least show the correct picture? And what’s with the chilli padi inside my Maggie goreng? Never once had chilli padi in my Maggie Goreng. What if the customer can’t take spicy? It’s really terrible! I ordered dined in and they gave it to me in packed form and keep shouting! How would I know it’s my order when they plate it wrongly. Really unacceptable, never visit them again. Visit at your own risk for bad food and service.

Amazing food and atmosphere! I ordered the Masala Thosai and absolutely loved it. It’s slightly crispy, with a generous portion of potatoes. The condiments were more than enough for the Thosai. My damage is only 3.5. I’ll definitely be back to try other dishes! P.S Their grand opening promo for coffee/tea is only 50cent .
