Cheap and good food that doesn't skimp on the portion size! It gets really crowded during peak hours, but one can usually still get seats. Stalls I've tried: • Chicken Rice Stall: Have tried their chicken and roast meat rice, which was not bad. The rice was fragrant and the roast meat was reasonably tasty. However, their chilli isn't the best, it was quite diluted. • Ban Mian Stall: Would definitely recommend getting their ban mian, this was super value-for-money. Get their dumplings! They were so fresh and tasty. Personally found the fried fish alright, don't really see the need to get this as an add-on. It's also really impressive to see how the owner handles everything so efficiently even as a one-woman show. • Takoyaki Stall: Would pass on this. It's cheap, but the taste isn't great. The takoyaki tasted gummy and the batter to filling ratio explained why prices were low. • Waffle Stall: Must get this!! The waffles were so cheap with the plain going at $1 only. The low price doesn't mean low quality as these are one of the top old school waffles I've had! I would probably pop by just to get these if I happen to be in the vicinity.
View on GoogleThe unassuming vegetarian stall in the corner of this canteen is easily NYp best-kept secret! They serve restaurant quality vegan dishes at humble hawker prices. The dishes are incredible, the bee hoon is perfectly smoky and springy, while the plump braised mushrooms burst with an umami rich herbal gravy that pairs beautifully with their nutty unpolished rice. Every bite is fresh, vibrant, and bursting with flavor, completely redefining how amazing vegetarian food can taste. Absolutely worth the queue.
View on GoogleCheap food, wide variety, usually got seats even at peak hour. Would visit again if I'm in the area. Impressed with the 1pax mala for $4. Tried the curry rice ($3-5) which was decent. Tempted to try takoyaki (comes in several flavours) and pancakes but too full. Envy the NYP students hahahh
View on GoogleLots of varieties. Food prices are for the students. No comment. If you want a quiet break, come after the busy lunch hour. Is a place to chilled out.
View on GoogleJapanese curry rice was good. Fish soup was also delicious. Canteen was clean and not too crowded from 1 pm onwards.
