Kudos to the students running the place for the food and service. The place is done up well enough though some things can be refined a little. My overall take is that they have done well but most things could use a little improvement. 1) The pasta I had was too firm. To note I love pasta al dente but this needed a bit more time. 2) The sauce tasted good but it was too dry. Just a tad more liquidy texture would elevate it. 3) The mango sticky rice didn’t really work as a reimagined version of the dish as I would have much preferred the original. Textures, taste and mashed up taken in altogether could be improved on. 4) They only had white or raw sugar and no equal or other type of non-sugar sweetener and it would be good to have that alternative for the hot tea/coffee. Service wise it was excellent. So great job there 👏🏻 Saying all this they will be closed for reno for a year and after that not sure what the new form will be. All the best to the students there in their f&b journey 👍🏻🙂
View on GoogleWe were very impressed by the students here. Very professional in their demeanor and well trained. The menu options are interesting. Can be hit or miss but never bad. We were lucky to be the last customers on the last day before they close for a year for renovations. Hope they come back with a more classy ambience.
View on GoogleFood is nice. Was served by Yue Leng and Ardriana. Adriana articulated well when introducing the dishes while Yue Leng is attentive and gentle. Thanks Mr Clemence for the guidance provided to the students.
View on GoogleFantastic fine dining restaurant run by NYP students. As a member of the public, I paid $18 for a 3 course meal and topped up $2 to get a latte. The servers do their best to provide the best service. Very attentive, and detailed in their explanation of the courses. The food is light and delicious, but very filling. Great experience!
View on GoogleI visited L’Rez recently and had a mixed experience. I ordered a latte and a cappuccino, but both drinks were disappointing. They lacked any latte art, and the foam was overly thick. The taste was just average. The appetizer was alright, but the mains were underwhelming. The hamburger patty was slightly undercooked, and while the salmon was decent, it didn’t pair well with the glutinous rice. On the positive side, the cocktails were enjoyable and probably the highlight of the meal. Dessert was fine but unremarkable—nothing stood out. The service, unfortunately, was a little slow, which added to the overall mediocrity of the experience. In conclusion, while there were some positive elements, the overall experience was not impressive. I would rate it 3 out of 5 stars.
