View on GoogleBest Halal chicken rice so far I have eaten. Most stalls taste like the Malay style nasi ayam but this one taste like authentic Chinese style. It's better than most (or if not the best so far to date) overrated halal chicken rice. Chicken rice taste should be this standard for Chinese style. 1 thing that can be improved is the steam chicken. If the chicken is poached till the jelly form between the skin and the meat then it will be perfect. Btw I'm a Chinese Muslim revert and a chicken rice lover. I know what good chicken rice taste like. I haven't had good chicken rice until I discover this. Alhamdulillah this is the legit tasting one. Keep it up.
View on GoogleCame to try Md Noor Hakim Chicken Rice over a weekday lunch. Location wise it's at Blk 340, diagonally opposite the Ang Mo Kio Swimming Complex. The dishes served are Halal certified. Firstly, tried the Chicken Rice Set. Had the roasted chicken and you can choose your choice of chicken cut (overlooked to ask for mine). Chicken is tender, juicy and had no gamey taste. Rice was generous and they definitely did not skim on the ingredients as the rice was very flavourful and fluffy. Soup was above average, not the watered down version you get in many other chicken rice establishments. The vegetable accompaniment is fresh and the amount is as the rest of the set, generous. As noted by the other reviews, the chicken rice chilli is on point and something not to miss out. Secondly, tried the Wonton Noodles. The noodles are done just right, qq. When asked for chilli to be added, please do not hesitate to add as it will add a different flavor palette to the already nice dish. The fried wontons are all right, nothing to shout about but definitely not bland. For lunch, please note there will always be a queue but seating in the coffeeshop is more than adequate. Service is also fast and the staff are well trained.
View on GoogleI experienced at other occasions, finding no halal food outlets at one of the area in Ang Mo Kio. So decided to Google for halal food. Found this shop with the better reviews. Ordered chicken rice set at $5.80 only. At this price, the chicken meat is generous, no bones, all meat. If you are a veggie person, you should order the set as the veggie portion is also very generous. Soup is nice, definitely better than those shops who give salted tap water as soup. Chilli, sauces and other condiments at your own disposal. Put as much as you want. The overall coffee shop is quite large. Many seats. Drinks lady very hardworking, not like those who wait for us to call then will come over. The only set back for me was parking. Went into the wrong carpark. If you use Google Maps, it may lead you to the heavy vehicle parking area. To go to the right parking area, go into the entrance of carpark which are behind the shops and turn right. Will definitely come again for lunch to try other dishes! Just to add, cannot use CDC vouchers. So its better if can use.
View on GoogleSince the son took over the serving counter, his serving portion is so pathetically little🥲 I still miss Md Noor Hakim full of heart overflowing generous servings🤤 Please improve🙏 *Thank you, but please have the courtesy of addressing we local Singaporeans right before you extend your invitation.
