I always thought the TPY HDB Hub Soon Heng rojak was the best in SG. Today i finally tried a better one. This gu zao rojak youtiao is toasted to a chewy and crispy texture, and has a unique caramelised & sweet fragrance. How can rojak be this delicious?? Uncle looks stoic but will crack unexpected jokes. Added bonus, unlike soon heng which annoyingly only accepts cash, uncle is more high tech and accepts cashless Paynow. Strongly support!!
View on GoogleGood rojak. The gravy is thick and not overly sweet. The taupok and the youtiao are nicely toasted. Pricing is decent too.
View on GoogleThe plate of Rojak may look harmless but it wakes up all the senses in my body. Super yummy!! My second time eating it in as many visit to the same eatery.
View on GoogleThe rojak is absolutely good. But Aunty, please consider replacing the plastic You Tiao container, the cover were already breaking up. Thankfully there's no blue plastics chips in my rojak 😭
View on GoogleWill rate base on its own originality. I think its over rated when people think its "the best" just because he serve Prime Minister of Singapore before. As seen in the pictures, stall is getting super old and very dirty. Saw a Food Hygience cert being hang by the fridge. But don't see any hygiene at all in handling cooked food and overall stall cleanliness. Even saw him scrapped up a piece that fell by the side. NEA should look into this? Gravy is so little. Asked for more but ignored. Taste of the burned Tau Pok( Tofu puff ) and YouTiao(Fried Dough Stick) very strong. Originally the rojak here does not come with bean sprouts. Also does not taste any chilli added. Very dry. All these would be covered with lots and lots of tiny nuts that Uncle will spam like at least 4 table spoon.. I've been around tasting Rojak trust me this is not a favourite at all.
