nice fish soup. ordered a double fish porridge. the nice man gave a lot a lot of fish. like 5 pieces of fried fish and 5 pieces of fish slices. but i see the fried fish came from the fridge into the pot hahaha so it isn't crispy. the fried fish also has a lot of batter, not much flesh. the fish slices are not bad, velvety and almost elastic. for $6.90, my porridge was a super large portion and i cannot finish. there's a lot of vegetables and the broth id lightly milky and fragrant. i prefer this broth to the other stall selling fish soup in this kopitiam. the other stall's soup i feel has that fried fish head smell that's a bit pungent. but i like the other stall's fried fish which has more flesh, a thin even coating, and tastier. overall would eat their other unique porridge like taro and pumpkin. and I will choose their fish slices, not the fried fish. the man serving is super nice. But since it's only him, service is a bit slow so have to wait a bit during peak hours.

This shop is like the Straits Of Hormuz. Open, close, open, close, open, close. Finally I get to eat it again. It's so delicious and you really can't find claypot fish porridge of this calibre anywhere. I love both the yam and pumpkin one and since they are open now, better be sure to patronise soon before they close again. So many times I have traveled all the way to have the fish porridge here only to learn they have closed for good. To the boss of chao zhou. Please don't open close open close again la.

Tried the Pumpkin Fish Porridge at this stall after noticing a recommendation. The porridge was indeed tasty based on my family of 3's opinion. And the fish was fresh, especially when the porridge was hot (a reminder not to eat when piping hot to prevent hurting the throat). The stall had other porridge variations which we would try when opportunity arises. Would recommend a try on this. The male staff attending the stall is friendly too. Apparently, both the stall and boss got nothing to do with the stall name 潮州. The food was good and tasty and it mattered most.

Tried the Pumpkin Fish Porridge and Japanese Sweet Potato Fish Porridge, both were really comforting and satisfying. The soup was light with a hint of natural sweetness, and the fish slices were fresh and tender. Great option if you’re craving something warm, especially on a rainy day.

Had craving of fish soup & saw this stall. Oh my goodness, it’s so tasty and hearty :) the pumpkin fish porridge is using pearl rice so the texture is so smooth and delicious. Beef rice was so generous in portion and the taste is on point. Will definitely come back and try the other variations of fish porridge.
