Waffle is light and crispy, and the bingsu portion is generous! Visited on a Saturday night — it was crowded, and the wait was quite long. The male staff seemed a bit jaded, but thankfully the young lady staff was friendly and attentive, which made the experience much better overall.

This little shop could be hidden in plain sight as it is quite a distance from the main road, along a stretch of shop houses. It was after lunch we came here for dessert, at around 1pm. There weren’t any customers in the shop. The presentation of the bingsu I would give it 4-star, the mango and the mango puree was alright too. When you get to middle of the bowl, it’s just terribly dry and tasted powdery, that is, when the top layer is fully consumed. There’s nothing below there. I was hoping think it’s more of an “ice kacang”, even at the bottom there’s still a hint of sweetness or mango. You seen, it’s impossible not to peel off the top layer first because if you try to mix it with the ice below, everything good part of it will fall on the tray. I’m thinking maybe change to bigger bowls or make smaller portion and charge less. The cafe latte was normal, nothing to shout about. But one thing I can’t stand was, the shop has some sort of echo. There was a bunch of adults and kids came in later, probably 3 families, they were loud and it got louder because of the structure of the shop, like deafening loud, made me agitated. Suggest to get some plants or something to absorb the noise so it doesn’t bounce back on the wall creating a loud speaker effect.

If not for a friend, I’d never have stumbled upon this charming little dessert hideout in the heart of Ang Mo Kio. What a sweet discovery! The four of us shared a generous plate of waffles crowned with three indulgent scoops of ice cream: Earl Grey Lavender, Red Wine Belgium Chocolate, and Strawberry Cheesecake. Each one was a winner in its own right — fragrant, bold, and delightfully creamy. The waffle itself was a masterpiece: thick yet airy, crisp at the edges, and laced with just the right touch of buttery goodness. A side of honey was thoughtfully provided, but honestly, the waffle-and-ice-cream pairing was already spot on — no extras needed. I’m already planning my return visit to try the other flavours.

Sweet Tooth After Meal Had the 𝐂𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐨𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞 - Didnt find it spectacular. Ice cream was a little plain in taste, but could be stronger in taste. Got the 𝐌𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐨 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐁𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬𝐮 - Wah first mouth like not bad, thereafter like okok loh. Couldn't taste much of the snowflakes and the mango fruit some were darkened not very fresh and had no taste to them 😶. However, the cheesecake toppings that were in it were alright. ✨Classic Croffle (S) $6 + Triple Choco $4.30 ✨Mango Cheesecake Bingsu (S) $9

Desert Dessert (Ang Mo Kio): A Cool Respite from the Singapore Heat! My recent trip to Desert Dessert in Ang Mo Kio was a welcome escape from the scorching Singapore heat, offering a refreshing way to cool down with their popular bingsu offerings. We opted for two classic choices: the Oreo Bingsu and the Injeolmi Bingsu. Both bowls were a delightful sight, generously piled high with finely shaved ice, perfect for combating the intense humidity. The Oreo Bingsu was a satisfying blend of chocolatey crushed cookies and creamy ice, a familiar and comforting treat that appealed to our sweet cravings. The Injeolmi Bingsu, with its nutty soybean powder and chewy rice cakes, offered a more traditional and earthy flavour profile, a good contrast to the rich Oreo version. We certainly enjoyed both bingsu bowls, especially given the hot weather. They did their job admirably, providing that much-needed chill and sweetness. While I wouldn't go as far as to say they were the absolute best bingsu I've ever tasted, they were definitely a solid choice and hit the spot perfectly for a dessert craving. Desert Dessert provides a pleasant and casual setting for a sweet treat. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it a good spot to unwind after a warm day. The service was efficient, getting our frosty creations to us without much wait. If you're in the Ang Mo Kio area and looking for a reliable spot to cool down with a satisfying bingsu, Desert Dessert is a great option. It's an enjoyable way to beat the heat and indulge in a sweet, icy treat.
