This is one of the well-known hawker centres in Ang Mo Kio – Teck Ghee Square. It has been around for ages and remains a favourite among locals. Some of my go-to stalls here include the mee rebus / mee siam, sliced fish soup, kway teow soup, fried kway teow, Hainanese chicken rice, and the western food stall. The variety and taste have kept me coming back over the years. While the food is great, I do feel the place could use some upgrading to make it more comfortable for diners. Next to the hawker centre is the market, which offers a wide range of fresh produce, and there are a few fruit stalls that are always busy with regular customers. A classic heartland spot worth visiting, especially if you enjoy traditional local food in an authentic setting.

Good quality, Good value! One of the most reasonably priced stall. Most expensive MSW is $12.50 per kg. Buy 5 free 1. Durian arrives at about 3.45pm by which time queue starts to form. Unloading and stacking completes by 4.20pm. There are 10 in the queue at any time.

There are many nice food stalls at this hawker centre. We went there during dinner time and saw many people are queuing at the Fish Soup stall. The BBQ chicken wings stall, fried oyster stall, western food stall are the favourite during dinner time. Apart from that, there is also a stall selling the traditional charcoal steamboat which give you the “familiar old time taste of steamboat”. Will go there again during breakfast time as there are so many stalls for us to try out. A nice neighbourhood hawker centre within walking distance from AMK Hub.
