Disclaimer: my dining experience may vary from yours. Lunch dated 10 May 2026. Ordered a chicken rice set $8. For a vegetarian dish, it was very outstanding. The texture of the meat was mimicked like real meat, very skilful cook. The rice was dry, but flavourful. It tasted better than some chicken rice that I had before. The green vegetables complemented with a light sauce, quite delicious. The soup was clear tasting and very nice. The condiments thick soy sauce, chill and ginger elevated the taste. The chill was spicy but ok for me. The ginger sauce was well made. If this vegetarian chicken rice is available near me, I would have it occasionally.

The ginger and chilli had good depth and flavour, not just token condiments. Jin ho jiak. Not comparing it to real chicken, but as a vegetarian dish, this easily beats many stalls out there. Even the rice alone is better than quite a few so-called heritage brands. Price-wise, vegetarian isn’t cheap — chicken rice set is $8, curry noodle $5. Cash only. Quite a few stalls in this food centre operate on cash-only basis as well. Overall, solid vegetarian food and well executed.
View on Googledelicious and professional. The plating on full on ceramic platter is another level for standard Sgd8 meal, deserving a standing ovating. The Chef and sous chef takes pride in serving and taste. Food preparation is meticulously sorted by the side. If you can, please be seated close to the stall as they constantly collect back the plates and cutlery, washing themsleves to the ready for the next customers. They rest on Wednesdays.
View on GoogleTried the $8 chicken rice set. The white chicken texture and look really close to real one. Taste was soft and tender too. The roasted one is more ordinary.
View on GoogleFood was good however, during PRE-CNY(3 days prior), the stall owner increased the price of every dishes by $0.5 with a paper note. If you work over CNY and supply for hawker stall is low, I understand the increase but why the increase on the weekend before CNY to rip off the weekend crowd?
