Had a lovely dinner with family before our grocery shopping. The restaurant was full when we arrived at 7pm. Queue for about 10 min and was led to our table. Set dinner was reasonable price. Food was great.

The newly renovated vibe is pleasant and the menu selection has improved by leaps. Quality of food remains the same, acceptable, except prices have risen a bit. Overall still a pleasant restaurant for family and weekends.

Located at L2 of AMK Hub next to escalators, lifts and toilets, they've renovated and now the restaurant looks more spacious and less cramped. No wait on a public holiday at 12noon, we were seated immediately. Service was prompt and adequate, the restaurant was flexible and allowed for switching of items due to our dietary restrictions and preferences. Tables are well spaced and seats are large and comfortable. Menu has undergone an update but favourites are still there. Low cost options available, such as the dons. Some sets are slightly more expensive now, but the value for quality has improved. Their sashimi slices are now thicker, served with fresh perilla leaves. Agedashi tofu is silky with well-crisped exterior. They have new items, like the star menu's Tori Mizutaki (chicken meatballs in collagen hot pot), which is now my favourite set there. Chicken meatballs were juicy, soup base is tasty but can get salty towards end of meal. Sgd92 after service charge and gst, for 3 mains and one iced ocha. No complimentary water served.
