Went for lunch at 11.45am today and was turned off by the sight of many flies on the black fungus. When I used my tongs to take one of the fungus, the flies flew out and laid on the other items. I did not want to take the items that were displayed in that fridge. I took sliced chicken and saw flies on pork belly too. It was a total turn off. I informed the staff about it and she did not seem bothered. I told her to change the black fungus and pork belly. She handed it to the kitchen staff and both items came out within a minute. There were also flies spotted at the garnishes counter. It really voiced down to the hygiene of this outlet. The food was bad too; the lady fingers were hard and raw. The fish ball was stale. Such a bad experience I had today.

If you did not know (like me 😂), Gong Yuan also had dry selections for their Mala 🤩 The Golden Buns and Dough Fritters were crispy and nice!! As usual, Gong Yuan’s soupy broth is tongue numbing 麻 and spicy-sweet 辣 (we had the Ma La Pork Bone Soup), but we did not choose the spicy level for this instance. (But to what I know, if you order via the Kiosk, you can choose the spiciness level, but there’s no Kiosk at this outlet, you’ll have to order through the staff member!! If you’re a 小辣 person like me, remember to tell the staff member yea!!) 😬 Staff here seems to be predominantly Chinese speaking too btw 🙂

Came here on a Sunday noon, and there were already seats that were filled. Very much so from the crowd coming from the expo halls. Space wise is very limited, and tables were quite close to each other. Selections were sufficient, but would like more variety in terms of food options. Soup base has a good variety. I ordered the tomato soup base, and the minimum order quantity is 280g. Soup is quite sticky from the noodles we chose, more of like a gravy. Our portion came up to be $27, and it's enough to feed 2 hungry people. Also ordered dumplings to share which is a small portion for 2 people at $4.90. Pretty okay as well.

Today we try new menu "Kimchi" soup. It is quire good. If who like pork soup mixed well with Kimchi. Overall is okay but our favorite is still "Tomato Mala" and "Hot and Sour" soup.😆
