Since the first time we set foot into the outlet in Punggol Waterway Point, we have been hooked by the food and the coffee at TBB. So, when they announced the outlet closure, we were literally heartbroken, as we would not be able to frequent them as often anymore. Unfortunately, they opened another outlet that was not too far from our place, right at the centre of Tampines, within Tampines 1 shopping mall. Even though it is not as near as the previous one, it’s still feasible to check them out now and then, usually during public holiday, or when we have a more relaxed schedule in the morning. So, since the school holiday has started, and we had a public holiday on Monday, it was a no brainer what we would have for breakfast. The menu has undergone quite a significant refresh since our last visit a few months ago. Our usual favorites were still around, but since there were so many new items, and we did not come so often, we strayed from our well-treaded path and chose the new items that looked appealing. And I am glad we did, as they were all awesome. The gochujang twist was seasoned beautifully, and very tasty. Its slightly smaller size makes it perfect for sharing. The ham croissant was a great combination of the crunchy bread outside and the chewy ham inside. But being a sweet tooth myself, my top 2 are surely the banana chocolate bread and the mango sticky rice bread. Both of them were wonderful. The first one had chocolate spread mixed with banana paste, which surprisingly went great together. The second one was a creative spin off the traditional all time favorite Thai dessert of mango sticky rice. I feel the topping and the bread did not really go well together, but the topping tasted beautiful by itself. The mango was not too sweet, and the sweetness level was somewhat diluted even more by the sticky rice and the bread, making it taste just perfect. We enjoyed the food, the slow time together and the family banter. I just hope they will open another outlet nearer to our home soo , so that we won’t miss out on any more limited or festive item anymore.

The coffee consistency is the same as what we had at another outlet. We got the lemon tart to share, which is more on the sour-sweet side, and I personally quite like it. We have yet to try the other items at this outlet and are reserving our rating for now (still under observation). The staff are attentive in assigning seats and providing service, even when it's a full house.

I had a lovely experience at Tiong Bahru Bakery. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive—they even helped prepare a baby chair for us and kindly served the food to our table. Their breads and pastries never disappoint—everything we tried was delicious. Truly no misses there. The drinks were just okay, though. I do hope they’ll expand their beverage options in the future.😁 Overall, it was a great experience and I’ll definitely be coming back!

Tiong Bahru Bakery @ Tampines One The mission was clear: complete the Tea Hopping trail, and this stop delivered in style. The star of the visit was the King Jasmine Guava Tart — and it more than earned its place in the lineup. Tiong Bahru Bakery needs little introduction. This homegrown institution has long been a reliable retreat — the kind of place where you settle in with a good coffee, a pastry, and good company. It has been a personal favourite for client meetings and quiet breaks alike, and for good reason. The craft here is consistent and unhurried. The King Jasmine Guava Tart, however, elevated the visit into something worth writing about. Divine in flavour and pristine in presentation, it demonstrated what guava can do when treated with care and intention. The jasmine lent a floral delicacy that framed the fruit beautifully — neither overpowering nor lost. For bakers and pastry chefs, this is an invitation: guava opens up a whole new dimension of possibility, from tarts to entreméts to layered confections. The fruit deserves a far more prominent seat at the table. A worthy stop on the Tea Hopping trail, and a reminder of why Tiong Bahru Bakery has stayed relevant long after the initial hype faded.

Had tea and cakes after lunch here on a Sunday. Was crowded but the staff helped us find a table. Very friendly and helpful crew. Also have free flow cold and hot water and condiments.
