Tried Swee Choon at Century Mall for the 2nd time. The fried rice and dim sum are quite nice, pork chop is flavorable as well. Dim sum is quite special, first time try fried siew mai, not too bad. Worth to try if happen to be nearby again.

Swee Choon at Century Square represents a successful, if occasionally uneven, modernisation of a legendary Singaporean brand. The restaurant achieves high marks for its "modern look," which effectively uses retro-chic design to maintain a sense of "heritage" within a retail environment. The "Braised Beef Noodles" are the standout achievement of this outlet, showcasing a "tender" protein and "QQ" noodles that benefit from sophisticated braising techniques and high-quality starch sourcing. The "Shanghai Xiao Long Bao" requires further attention regarding thermal management. The "cold" service temperature is a significant detractor that prevents the "umami-rich" soup from performing as intended. Similarly, the "Hae Bi Hiam Fried Carrot Cake," while "unique," could benefit from a more aggressive "Wok Hei" application to ensure it moves beyond "alright" into the realm of the "memorable". For the diner in the East, this outlet provides a "convenient" and "shiok" gateway to the Swee Choon legacy. It is an establishment that proves "quality is never compromised," even when the backdrop shifts from the "rowdy bustle" of Jalan Besar to the refined corridors of Tampines.

Tried Swee Choon at Century Square and it feels quite different from the Jalan Besar outlet. The food was quite normal and didn’t really meet my expectations. The egg noodles were very plain, and the chee cheong fun was on the tougher side, not soft or silky enough. The chicken feet also wasn’t great. On the plus side, the carrot cake was pretty good, and the century egg porridge was not bad as well. Service-wise, I must say it was very good. The aunties and uncles were super friendly and welcoming, which made the experience more pleasant. Overall, food was average, but the good service helped balance things out.

One of my favorite dim sum place! Love the salted egg yolk bao, but my personal favorite is their mee sua kueh & tofu bomb, not something I can easily find in other places, love the crispness on the outside and soft on the inside of the mee sua kueh and tofu bomb, and love the surprising spiciness from the chili hidden inside the tofu bomb. I always bought these to-go whenever I’m at Century Square, appreciate the takeaway counter here. I always either bought takeouts or delivery, but next time will definitely try to dine in to try their main dishes as well. Recommended!

Very friendly service from the elderly waitresses. Food is good except the you tiao is over fried. $5 breakfast set but you've to add in GST and service charge. Tables are small and closely spaced just like in a typical Hong Kong cafe. The Chinese tea is very strong.
