The meat buns are nice. The chicken buns are great I like that they added turnip into the chicken buns for sweetness and crunch. But the same pastry skin with lotus paste or red bean paste fillings is just bad. Dry and grainy. Their pastry skin needed oil from the meat to make it taste balanced. Without the oil, their pastry skin simply taste of just flour and water mixed together. Nam Kee seriously needs to think of how to improve the pastry skin for their lotus paste and red bean paste buns.
View on GoogleNam Kee Mee Hoon Kueh (Malaysia Boleh, Tampines 1): A Comforting Bowl of You Mian Amidst Malaysian Flavours. Nam Kee Mee Hoon Kueh offers a nice, comforting bowl of You Mian. The noodles had a good, slightly chewy texture, and the broth was flavourful. The minced pork was tender, and the crispy anchovies added a pleasant crunch. A satisfying and simple noodle option within the bustling food court. Worth a try for a quick meal!

View on GoogleAt Our Tampines Hub outlet, food is quite tasty but not happy with the service provided. Always served with paper bowl despite of eating at the outlet. Should be given proper dining bowl for eating in. Staff sat down during peak hours while the cook never rests. That speaks for the lack of crowd.
