Visited Dian Xiao Er for dinner and the place was packed, so the wait was quite long. Thankfully, the food made it worthwhile. The standout dish was definitely the Assam-style sliced garoupa — the fish was fresh and tender, with a tangy and flavourful sauce that paired perfectly with rice. The rest of the dishes were also well prepared and enjoyable. A good spot for a satisfying family meal if you don't mind the crowd.

Visited Dian Xiao Er during dinner time and it was quite crowded. We waited about 15 minutes for a table, which was reasonable considering the queue. The signature duck was delicious, and the tomato egg dish was especially well cooked (or maybe I was just too hungry 🤤). The vegetables were decent too. I also ordered a pot of Chinese tea to go with the meal. I’d like to give a special shout-out to Pei Kiee. She was handling the cashier, attending to walk-in customers, and still managed to notice that my tea was empty. Without me asking, she came over to top it up—not just once, but more than three times! I was genuinely impressed by her attentiveness and ability to multitask while maintaining such excellent service. Staff like her really make the dining experience memorable. Thank you, Pei Kiee, for the wonderful service! I’ll definitely be returning to this outlet and will happily recommend it to my friends. 👍

Yummy food done well and at a decent price. While some of the dishes aren't signatures like those you'd find at some of the Hunan restaurants, they still do a pretty good job at making everything taste good. The herbal duck is a staple of course, reminiscent of Ya Wang in JB.

It has been a while since I came here. The food quality, portion and taste have degraded. The duck portion is pathetic and there are hardly any meat on the cut. Egg is bland and the portion for everything is very very small.

Some dishes are better than others. The duck egg prawns is nah, green dragon veg if aye and duck is aye. The staff are v enthusiastic about selling the membership. It’s a little exhausting to hear.
