Finally tried this Taiwanese chain known for its charcoal-grilled toast and milk tea! Quite an extensive menu with lots of sandwich options and the usual Taiwanese snacks 😗 Really enjoyed my Spicy Cheesy Chicken Cutlet Toast ($8.20)! Patty tastes like the McSpicy patty and was quite filling overall. My friend's Pork and Egg Cheese Toast ($7.50) is much flatter than the ones in their promo pics but still tasty. She loved the teh (top up $1.10). Pleasantly surprised by the Egg Cheese Scallion Pancake ($8.60) which is so crispy and satisfying when hot. Quite simple food but a lovely (and affordable) meal nonetheless!

During my recent visit to Fong Sheng Hao, I was greeted warmly by a friendly cashier who also assisted in the kitchen — a pleasant touch that set a welcoming tone for the meal. The service crew was attentive and cheerful. The food itself was served warm and generally delicious. The spring onion pancake and pork floss sandwich stood out as highlights — flavorful, satisfying, and well-executed. However, some dishes had a bit of a spicy kick that caught me off guard: the salted egg chicken was notably spicy, which might not suit everyone’s palate, and the pork chop cutlet rice was overly peppered, making it quite peppery and overpowering the other flavors. While the quality of the dishes was decent, I found the prices to be on the higher side relative to the portion sizes and the overall experience. Do note that there is limited seating, so I would say, first come first serve sort of seating arrangement. Nonetheless, if you're in the mood to splurge a little for what can be considered average Taiwanese fare, Fong Sheng Hao is worth a visit. The friendly service and tasty dishes make for a worthwhile, if somewhat pricey, indulgence.

Staff at the counter is helpful & polite. He noticed us not knowing what to eat so bright a few menu over and offered help. The sandwich is very yummy! The 卤肉饭 is also very delicious! Stir and mix the meat, vege, gravy and rice to get a better flavor! There are a few outlets in the east but I think this is the best (in terms of cleanliness, service & overall quality) that I have visited so far :-)

Fong Sheng Hao 豐盛號 at Pasir Ris Mall brings a slice of Taipei’s beloved Shilin Market right to our neighbourhood. It’s tucked in near the basement #01-14, with warm wooden paneling and soft lighting that quietly invite you to slow down and enjoy something simple but thoughtfully done. What matters here is the signature charcoal-grilled milk bread—thick, fluffy, and slightly smoky—handcrafted in-house before being pressed gently over charcoal to gain a slightly crisp exterior. Tucked inside is the standout Pork Egg & Cheese sandwich: a delicate omelette layered with melted cheddar and tender marinated pork loin. Each bite is comforting without being heavy, as the pillowy bread and gooey middle strike that perfect balance between savory and familiar. Sweet options shine too. The Peanut Butter Special is generously slathered with chunky peanut butter and topped with a scattering of crushed peanuts—not overly sweet, and rich with texture and nostalgia. You can pair your sandwich with a classic milk tea or a cane-flavoured black tea, the latter offering a brightness that cuts through the creamy toast. Whether it’s breakfast, a mid-afternoon pick-me-up, or an easy meal, everything here is uncomplicated, true to its roots, and quietly satisfying.

Ever i start trying Fong Sheng Hao a while back, I become quite eager to try their other menu. I am delighted that it is now open Pasir Ris Mall. The outlet at Pasir Ris Mall is rather small, so yoiu might not get seats during peak hours. I love their Taiwan Milk Tea, it just tasted very differently. The sugar they used is very fragrance and you will not feel bored drinking it. Omelette roll is also something you must try. Soft and pleasant. With its sauce, turns out to be a fun dishes. So far, the mains i have eaten are all delicious.
