Never knew that this place existed until today. As I already had lunch, I wanted to have a bowl of dessert and ordered the hot Cheng tng. Sad to say this is probably the worst Cheng tng that I have ever had. The liquid was not even like warm, the gingko nuts tasted bitter and the entire dish was tasteless to say the least. The person at the table next to mine had a chendol which also was of very poor quality. Just look at the chendol photo. Staff need to buck up at the dessert stall
View on GoogleThis food court is not crowded ever since the new Pasir Ris Mall opened. There are new and unique food stalls over here. The Cheeky Bee Hoon here is nice. The chendol here is not very good. The coconut has a weird taste. Service at the two stall that I patronized were good.
View on GoogleNewly renovated foodcourt with gems around! Here's what you must try: 1. 5/5. TANG²: Depending on what you get, ranges from $11 (1 portion) to about $25. THIS IS MY FAV STORE. I highly recommend getting suan cai or tomato soup (because I haven't managed to try the rest yet lol). Yumz. You know these are legit when it comes with roast peanut, cilantro, and garlic bits. Super flavourful - rice was perfectly cooked the last 3 times I had this. 2. 4/5: Western Boy. Delicious fish & chips. Fries were addictive! Only didn't like the salad that came with it. Won't top up to get the set since that salad's included. Their menu's extensive, will need to try other stuff next. 3. 3/5 Cheeky Beehoon: Partner had it and recommends going for the soup version instead. Priced a bit steep imo. Also, the crab dumplings were nothing special.. more on the peppery side and rather bland. Didn't feel satisfying imo. 4. 2/5: Chicken rice. Was quite disappointed by the mushy rice since I could have gone for TANG² instead. Rare for chicken rice shops to get this wrong. Please fix thissss. Roast chicken was fairly average. Not tender. And tofu was tough and didn't have much flavour. Won't get this anymore. 5. Hao Lai Ke. Refraining from rating as I havent tried it since the renovation. I think stir fried noodles and fried rice should be alright- seeing a lot of people having the noodles which looks pretty yummy.
View on GoogleHave yet visited after they renovated (think it’s been quite awhile). Anw plenty of options and we had the cheeky beehoon and ampang YTF. Both were good, especially the cheeky beehoon, which soup base has a charred and umami flavor. Highly recommend! There’s also the culiang yufen and aher herbal soup which well try another time.
View on GoogleOrdered 2 vegetables and 1 sweet and sour fish from the mixed rice stall at Cookhouse Koufu. While eating halfway I realize the ‘Dory’ fish was not well cooked. It really ruins my appetite!! What’s more, it costs me $7 ( the uncooked fish alone costs $4!!). Will not buy food from this stall again!!
