Apparently, Tsuta and Mrs Pho are operating together, as payment is made to Tsuta. I ordered the Sliced Beef Pho ($14.80) and Grilled Chicken Banh Mi ($12.80). After placing the order, the pho arrived within 7 minutes, while the banh mi only arrived about 35 minutes later. The sliced beef pho was comforting and hearty, with a warm, flavourful broth that was easy to enjoy. Everything came together well, although I would have appreciated a more generous serving of greens. Unfortunately, the grilled chicken banh mi was a disappointment. There was no spicy kick, no pâté, and very little pickled radish. The vegetables were also rather sparse, as shown in my video. Overall, it lacked the key elements that make a banh mi enjoyable and authentic, in my opinion.
View on GoogleThrow together a mix of Japanese Soba and Vietnamese Pho type of place. Don’t expect too much. Definitely not a place to expect genuinely good pho or soba. Came after arriving on an afternoon flight. Ordered a Spicy Chicken Soba and a Combination Pho. The chicken in the supposedly Japanese soba is cooked in Vietnamese grill chicken style. The soup is by best average tasting. The Pho has the entire mint stock soaked into the soup. I had to fish it out to pluck the mint leaves and dispose the stock. Don’t talk about authenticity here. The beef broth is too salty in my opinion and artificial. I believe it’s premixed seasoning. All in all, if you are hungry and wanted a quick fill-me-up, this place will be okay. Value for money, definitely can have other better options in Jewel.
View on GoogleHad a wonderful dining experience at Tsuta SG! There was a waiting list when we arrived, but the queue moved quite fast. A huge plus point: they have a dedicated area to store our luggage, which was very convenient. I ordered the Kurobishio Tonkotsu Soba and Green Tea, while my husband had the Mala Tonkotsu Soba. Both were incredibly delicious and flavorful. The service was excellent, friendly and very efficient. Highly recommended!
View on GoogleTsuta Japanese Soba Noodles (the world’s first Michelin-starred ramen) - The original truffle shoyu soba. The soba is excellent (springy, subtle and clean smell). The smell and taste of truffle is very dominant on the soup. 4.8 stars - Kurobishio tonkotsu soba. The soup was very rich. The black pepper minced pork (mixed w the soup) was the make this soba special. 4.7 stars - Yaki Gyoza. This is very nice and a must order menu. 4.9 star All in all this is 4.8/5.0 stars restaurant.
View on GoogleTonkotsu was on the lighter side while still being creamy with the pork fat. No msg used here apparently so the broth could taste slightly bland to some who prefer stronger tasting broth but on the other hand it makes it perfectly drinkable. Spring rolls were also really juicy and crispy. The meat filling inside was bursting with flavour. Gotta be one of the best spring rolls I've eaten. Overall, a decent place for ramen and the main plus for me is the collab with mrs pho where people are able to order vietnamese food, catering to the varied tastes of different people in a party.
