KOI Café – Jewel Changi Airport Of all the KOI outlets I’ve visited, this one at Jewel holds a special place — it’s my most frequented, and somehow the last to get a proper review from me. It’s a convenient spot that has brought consistent joy across many visits, and what keeps me coming back is the sheer range of drinks on offer. From the early days of the Brown Sugar Milk Tea to the latest Premium Houjicha, KOI has never stopped evolving its menu, and there’s always something new worth exploring. On my latest visit, I tried the Premium Houjicha — and it delivers on its name. The roasted aroma is deeply present with every sip, rich and enveloping in a way that feels almost indulgent. The texture leans slightly sandy, which I’d attribute to the premium houjicha powder used, though it’s not unpleasant. The range comes in several variations, including one with Almond Tofu and Red Bean, as well as an Oat Milk option. The red bean and almond tofu pairing works especially well — the earthiness of the bean and the silky softness of the tofu complement the roasted depth of the houjicha beautifully. If you haven’t explored KOI beyond the classics, this Houjicha series is a good reason to do so.

This lady on the right in the picture have a very bad attitude when serving customers. Rolling her eyes when customers are asking questions on how to use the self service kiosk instead of coming out to assist. Theres a tourist who apparently do not know how all these works, when being directed to use the self service kiosk, she did but she didnt know she have ti wait for the number to be served. Instead of saying sorry, you have to wait for your number, she ask the tourist “what?” Giving a very impatient look. They rather chat happily with each other rather than assist customers. Really very bad customer service, as theres zero crowd. I would have given this negative ratings if possible but google doesnt allow it.

I had an unpleasant experience with one of the female staff members. She appeared unfriendly from the start, glaring at me and not showing basic courtesy. When I accidentally dropped my straw and asked for a replacement, she handed it to me in a rude manner without any politeness. This made the overall experience quite uncomfortable.

Gaps in order system, failed to account for my order and order number. I went at off-peak 3.30pm, and only realised that I was given the wrong drink when i already left. I requested a refund, but the order number wasn’t unique and didn’t match my order to the order number. Hence the staff couldn’t refund, system should have unique identifiers so that refunds can be given accordingly. Please do better 🙂‍↕️

5 Star ⭐️ to Exceptional Service by Jerry on 30-Nov-2025 around 9pm. Jerry is an absolutely outstanding staff member. Not only handsome 🤣, friendly, and always cheerful with a genuine smile. His service truly made our day. My girlfriend and I wanted to use our rice milk tea 1-for -1 voucher via the KOI card, but this outlet normally doesn’t accept it. After we explained that it was the last day to redeem and that we had already visited five different KOI outlets that didn’t have rice milk tea available, Jerry went above and beyond to help us. He was kind enough to allow us to use the voucher by taking a photo of it, ensuring we didn’t leave disappointed. This level of initiative and customer care is rare.. KOI is truly lucky to have such a dedicated and well-trained staff member. Jerry’s professionalism and willingness to go the extra mile definitely uphold KOI’s reputation, especially for such a key location like the airport branch. Huge kudos to Jerry once again, service like his turns customers into loyal fans!
