My first visit to this restaurant & bar on Christmas Day upon recommendation from my colleague. The restaurant & bar was surrounded by trees, shrubs and green field with lots of greenery. It had both indoor and outdoor seating. The entire restaurant was bright and spacious with lots of natural sunlight penetrating into the indoor seating. Restaurant decor was like an English style. Ambience was cosy & relaxing with music being played in the background. Even the ladies washroom was clean with homely & warmth decor. Definitely a nice place to dine & wine. Staff were also friendly. Menu price was steep but then the food portion was big. Not to mention, the TCS Nasi Lemak and Chicken Croffle that we ordered were so yummy that i was craving for it few days later after our visit. For sure, I cant wait to return to the restaurant again in the short term to savour their delicious food …

The Coastal Settlement — A Nostalgic Journey Back in Time 🕰️🍽️ From the very first moment you step in, you can immediately feel the wonderful atmosphere. It feels so authentic — like walking straight back into the 1950s, 60s, or 70s, the times of our parents. Everywhere you look, there are treasures from the past: the classic square television set in its wooden cabinet, the vintage typewriter that makes that familiar tap-tap sound, and so many carefully preserved vintage pieces throughout the space. It is clear that all these items require a lot of care and maintenance, and while there is quite a lot to see around you, it fills you with such warm, wonderful memories of days gone by. 📺⌨️ 🍽️ The Food — Fresh, Creative & Delicious The food is just as impressive as the setting — truly fascinating and beautifully made! Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavour: - Wagyu Beef Burger — my absolute favourite! Juicy, rich, and incredibly tasty — perfectly cooked and so satisfying. 🍔 - Dual-Flavour Flatbread / Pizza — a creative two-in-one! I strongly prefer the wagyu beef side — absolutely delicious. The other side features lobster with a lovely orange-hued sauce, which is also nice, but the wagyu beef is the star to me — highly recommended! 🍕 - Baked Cheesecake — the perfect finish! Rich, creamy, and beautifully balanced. Not too sweet, just wonderfully rich and smooth — a wonderful way to end the meal. 🍰 Overall, The Coastal Settlement is a truly special place — the atmosphere is wonderful, full of nostalgia and character, and the food is consistently delicious and thoughtfully prepared. It is an experience as much as a meal. It is worth noting that the location is quite far out — having a car makes the visit much easier, though it is still reachable. The price point is also on the higher side — expect around $30++ to $40 per person without drinks and dessert, or roughly $50–$60 per person if you include drinks or a dessert.

Beautiful place, fabulous food, fantastic staff. What a wonderful revisit after many years. We ordered Wagyu beef cubes, crispy white bait and Hokkien mee, with English breakfast tea. For desserts we had sticky pudding with ice cream, and burnt cheesecake. ALL VERY GOOD! Special shout out to our server Elsa - so welcoming and friendly. Keep it up.

Our family had a wonderful experience at The Coastal Settlement. After a challenging few weeks managing my mom’s post-surgery recovery, we wanted to celebrate her upcoming birthday. Because she is currently using a wheelchair and crutches, we purposefully dined during odd hours to avoid the peak crowds, and needed a place close to parking with no stairs. The staff here were absolute angels. They thoughtfully arranged a cozy, private table right near the entrance for easy access. Hearing it was her birthday, a wonderful staff member suggested their Ondeh Ondeh cake as a surprise. Since mom couldn't have her usual big celebration with friends this year while she rests, this sweet gesture completely brightened her spirits. Combined with the beautiful ambience and delicious food, this thoughtful service turned a stressful season into a beautiful memory. Our family will definitely be back to try their dinner menu!

First dinner experience at this place The food is amazing expecially for the wagyu beef related and the clams with mussels with white wine sauce. There are other local food as well, taste is good. Like a mini fine dining place with the vintage cars and decorations. Dogs or pets are allowed as there are outdoor dining. Everyone should go there at least once. Price is little on the high side though
