We had dinner here when we’re on business trip in Spore. Had puri which was good. Chapathi was good (simple one). Vegetarian only restaurant.
View on GoogleVisited the restaurant on 21/9/2025 at about 2.30pm. Only 4 customers were seated. There were no more rice varieties at all. Bhattura was too thin & bland. Not hot. Sliced onions were with pulp & was brown. Channa was like rasam (too watery) & was sour. Hated the taste. So, I ordered thosai to try. Worst taste. Samosa displayed was burnt so I did not want to take anymore risk ordering. Bru coffee was the only item that was 8/10 quality. Bad service too. No one came to ask if we needed more gravy or any other condiments. The area was not so clean. The handwash area was disgusting. No soap at all. Would never visit this outlet again.
View on GoogleFrankly speaking , I,m quite disappointed that the food and service is totally different from what we used to received at your old Komalas in Teck Lah. Seems like the big boss is only interested in setting up more branches and neglect food and service standard as with most other big players in the local F & B scene
View on GoogleTried a few idli dishes. The Rava Idli was served quite cold and not fresh— like it came straight from the fridge. Probably good to stick with the more commonly ordered items, as those seem to be fresher. Think twice before trying the special/rare items.
View on GoogleTomato chutney gone bad but still served to 3 children. When questioned they claim it is good. After few minutes they serve a fresh batch of tomato chutney. Unapologetic behaviour from the counter staff. Worried for my children s health. Potato masal that was given with poori lacked salt and spice. Masal dosa taste was good as the masal used for this one was different from the one served with poori. Dosa lacked the traditional taste and not well cooked.Dosa Batter was not allowed to ferment before used for making dosa. Onion oothapam taste was good. Coconut chutney and coriander chutney were made using frozen powder so did not taste like chutney at all. Sambar was OK. BRU coffee was moderate.
