When eating zi char, many would agree that it's all about the wok hei (the breath of the wok — caused by the exceptional cooking heat leading to the creation of vastly complex flavours and aromas). Many places I've been to only exhibit this savoury characteristic in some dishes. This restaurant somehow managed to deliver it by the boatload in EVERY DISH WE ORDERED. Wonderfully crisp fried baby squid, decadent salted-egg glazed prawns, and the silky texture of the seafood fried rice, I was really taken aback. The seafood here is also remarkably fresh — particularly the prawns, which were notably plump and juicy. 10/10

dishes were palatable and fresh, place had a very homely kampung vibe. altogether really chill. we had bbq stingray, bean sprouts w salted fish, salted egg chicken (crispy and thick) as well as nestum sotong (fresh!!!) <3 excited to be back to try other dishes

Shellout for 2 pax was 10/10! We chose Sambal Chili for the gravy and it was chef’s kiss. Been coming for years and honestly, pretty much everything on the menu is delicious.

Kampong Chai Chee Seafood really impressed me. That Nasi Goreng Seafood was top-notch – the seafood tasted so fresh. And the Baby Squid! Seriously, crispy after two hours in the takeaway? That's unheard of. I've had so many rubbery versions elsewhere. Even the sliced fish in sweet and sour was a solid dish. I definitely need to explore more of their menu. Maybe next time I'll try their chili crab, or perhaps some of their other fish preparations. It's great knowing there's a reliable Halal seafood place around here. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

We celebrated mother's day here. And the food was excellence only the green curry can be improved. Service is spontaneous and price quite reasonable for 9 of us. Will be back for more.
