Went on a Monday night around 10pm as was craving for something warm. Amazing choice compared to the usual supper places. Must get the cereal chicken so yummy! Sat outside, was cooling at night :) will be back again!

Saw this place by chance. Old sch look is there but taste wise find it missing something. Is it wok hey or hmmm can’t really tell. Can say it close but there are better one out there. The chicken is a miss as it way too oily to me. Lala is ok. Egg ain’t crispy nor fluffy. Bean sprouts don’t have salted fish like most others. Well, still around the area can consider good I guess. Food quality B+ quantity A Service A RTE 2/5

Great zi char dishes! Especially recommend the salted egg pork ribs. They were really tender and tasty. The cabbage with dried shrimp also had wok hey taste which paired well with the dish. Overall a great place to try! They open till 2am which makes it a perfect supper spot.

Had a really good dinner at Gu Zao Ren Taiwan Porridge recently! It is air-conditioned and great for big families, since it has big tables with lazy susans, which make sharing super easy. We ordered the hotplate tofu, oyster omelette, hotplate venison, and stir-fried sambal sweet potato leaves. Everything tasted great, and you cannot beat that $1 unlimited sweet potato porridge!!! The staff were friendly and attentive too. Definitely gonna be my go-to spot for supper too since they are open till late!

Had a great meal at Gu Zao Ren Porridge! We ordered the clay pot pork liver, bitter gourd fish head, fresh cockles, and 梅菜扣肉 (braised pork with preserved mustard greens). Everything exceeded my expectations – fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared. The pork liver was tender and not overcooked, just the way I like it. The cockles were also a very special and tasty dish. The best part? The porridge is free flow at just $1 per person – which definitely made me eat more than I planned! 😂 Special shoutout to the lady staff – she was very attentive, kept an eye on our empty bowls, and proactively asked if we wanted to top up our porridge when the place wasn’t too busy. Great service! Overall, highly recommended for anyone who loves comforting, honest Chinese porridge dishes.
