The shop has moved to a new location. It is now situated and tucked inside a coffee shop at block 26. The ambience is totally different. I must say I miss the “old” shop and their friendly service. Is self service and cash payment now at the new location. The store is managed by 2 people. We ordered 3 dishes that amounted to $60. The yong tau foo is good $6.90 for 7 pieces and we like the fresh steamed yellow croaker $35. I won’t recommend the la la as its meat lacked of sweet flavor. I am disappointed that the raw fish dish is unavailable. Do choose a cooler day to dine in. You may not enjoy the food in this current heat as the place is not air conditioned. Hope this 26 years old business will thrive at this new site.
View on GoogleVery traditional place that has straightforward menu mainly consisting of Yong tau foo and abacus seed. Quite generous with the fish cake filling but I didn’t expect that there’s no meat filling apart from fish cake stuffed into the standard Yong tau foo ingredients. Food arrived quite fast.
View on GoogleThis is a gem! Fresh seafood at reasonable price. Highly recommend! I had raw fish for the first time that my friends ordered and I love it! (Sorry no picture as I enjoyed it so much) Ordered a few of other dishes, their yam Abacus and their YTF was pretty decent but I’m not a fan of Hakka food tho. Definitely be back for more! For the seafood!!
View on GoogleFresh seafoods and very home-cooked hakka dishes. Do call up the restaurant to place order for the steam chicken as there is limited order per day. There isn’t a lot of dishes on the menu. But those few are already the must order/try dishes. The boss and staffs will observe and serve the next dish after you finish your first dish as to ensure you taste the best of the dish and while it is fresh. Having that the seafood are fresh (seafood always have seasonal price) the bill will not be “economical”. Overall, recommended.
View on GoogleThe filling in the yong tau foo is really good. Word of advice is to avoid the fishball, which is small and not as nice as the rest. See the image for size comparison with the bittergourd. I don't real take abacus but their abacus is tender and the toppings was really nice. Ice vegetables is crunchy and went well with the sesame topping, however we felt it was overpriced.
