The best Japanese restaurant I had serving maguro. The sashimi is of thick cut, we ordered rice and seaweed and eat together. Love the tuna and flounder sashimi. The portion is big and quite full after eating. We went ahead to ordered other food to try. Love the service and atmosphere. Will definitely go again. Went back again First time tried the maguro rib, perfect, the head chef give us the yuzhu sauce and extra chili sauce. Blend so well with the rib It is must have in this restaurant .

Update after going back another 3 times: Horrible service. Way under-staffed and they don't care about customer being unhappy with the slow or lacklustre service. Will not be back. Food also not as fresh as before. You will be better off with the Mexican food next door - Comida. Very good quality raw fish and the slices are EXTREMELY thick on the sushi.. we were saying that each sushi can feed 2 pax! Price is reasonable for the portion and quality. Ambience is pretty decent too. Nearly fooled by the simple entrance, only to be shown a hidden dining behind. Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurant over in the east coast of SG.

Fantastic dinner experience. Had the 5 cuts of maguro sashimi and the sushi set. Loved the melt in mouth texture of otoro, and the fatty chutoro. Cuts and portion was generous. Some selection of fish were already sold out by dinner time. Great recommendation of seasonal winter sake. Miso soup and chawan mushi were lovely portion too, with scallops in chawanmushi. Tried the grilled maguro ribs which was pleasant end to meal. Warm and welcoming, easy to reach location though parking lots in vicinity are in shortage.

Omg. We had to double back to find this restaurant since there was no huge signboard. But so glad to find it. Worth it. The food is delicious. Fresh Maguro and Shimaji sashimi. The cut was thick enough to savour the taste and texture. Other dishes also very nice. Like the Fried Maguro. The staff even give advise on sake and wine pairing. Each meal above SGD15 but worth it if you want authentic Japanese food and environment.

Unassuming maguro place as you will be greeted with a sake bar when you first step into this restaurant. Fresh and tasty sashimi! Might be better to do reservation than walk in. It’s alittle pricey we paid about $160 for 2 pax. 2 mains, 1 sides and 2 drinks
