Had the Pork Ribs Prawn Noodle (dry kway teow) and thoroughly enjoyed it! The kway teow had a great texture and was coated in a savoury, flavourful sauce that made every mouthful satisfying. The pork ribs were tender, meaty, and packed with flavour, while the prawns were fresh and juicy. What surprised me was the soup on the side — instead of a strong prawn broth, it had a naturally sweet and comforting taste that paired really well with the rich dry noodles. Overall, a delicious and hearty bowl with quality ingredients and great flavours. Definitely a place I'll be returning to whenever I'm craving prawn noodles!

If there is one coffee shop with many stalls serving great food, this is it! You will find great tasting Bak Chor Mee, Chicken Rice, Hokkian mee, Prawn mee soup, Nasi Padang and Nonya delights all in one place. When I say, great tasting, I mean way above average and some to me might even be the best! The thing to note is they serve breakfast and lunch. Plus, it is mostly crowded, especially during weekends. Parking: plenty over at the opposite side of the road.

Soy Eu Tua is a cosy little coffeeshop with very limited seating, but that’s part of its charm! Each stall has its own speciality and loyal following, making every visit feel like a mini food adventure. The hidden gem here is Nyonya Novelties – their Nasi Ulam (herbed rice) is a simple joy and a rare find in Singapore. It’s perfectly paired with a spicy shiok belacan that packs a punch, making this humble dish even more unforgettable! Plus, there’s large street parking right opposite the coffeeshop, making it extremely convenient.

Chendol Melaka had homemade nasi ulam or herbed rice and the best chendol in the East. The char kuay teow was fried with gusto and punchy with robust smoky flavours. And I have seen rave reviews for the roast meats but not tried. However ,others were bog standard stalls selling average fare. Ah Lim bah chor mee certainly did not live up to it's name and the ones at Simpang Bedok are better. Service there was also rude. Lor Mee from the other noodle stall was just so so. The Malay stall sold cold lontong and perhaps it may be just after lunchtime , about 1.30 when we went but nothing to compliment. Seating was a big issue even at that time. There is a public car park across the street so parking is not too bad. But overall, one coffeeshop which, unless one is staying thereabouts or in the area, not worth going out of the way, unless craving for a good bowl of chendol.

Popular coffee shop especially among the local residents. As we were there around 1.30pm on a weekday, it wasn't too crowded. The minced pork noodles were quite good, I enjoyed the pairing of the chilli and vinegar which went down very nicely with the noodles. The fried carrot cake was a bit of a let down. I feel the chai poh should have been fried together with the carrot cake, instead of being used as a garnish with the spring onion. The coffee was nice and the seller was friendly.
