Different Taste Café is a restaurant serving traditional Chinese dishes with really a different taste 😂 (better tasting) than other Chinese restaurants. Their food is served very fresh, hot and tastes great. I enjoyed the steamed fish. Best I had in a long time. Vegetable Kang Kong and honey pork is fantastic too. Our waiter is very fast and professional. Price is reasonable. This is the kind of restaurant many people travel to Malaysia for. It is truly a gem in the East Coast Area Singapore. Easily 5 stars. Highly recommended.
View on GoogleReliving the nostalgia of my childhood. Used to visit with my mom and late grandpa at DTE old bowling place second level. Can't find any photos of the old place. The curry fish head and kang kong still taste the same as what I rmb when I was young. Salad prawn is good, my son love it. Lemon chicken not overly sour, my daughter say it's her favorite. Black pepper beef not my liking as I dont really like black pepper but ordered it for my partner.
View on GoogleWe ordered Hae Chor, Curry Fish Head and Prawns Omelette. Loved their curry fish head, portion we ordered was small but it came with a meaty half fish head. Only gripe I have is that the vegetables were slightly undercooked and quite hard. I love their Hae Chor which has water chestnuts in them. As for the prawns omelette it was so so only, as it wasn't fluffy and there were only like 4 prawns in it.
View on GoogleGood solid Hainanese zi char. Prawn rolls were juicy. and tasted freshly made. Assam fish was fresh Penang char Kway teow was pretty legit.

The standard is similar to many Tze char stall and it’s a tad pricier bec of the aircon. The taste is acceptable but you are really paying for AC and ambience. Our crispy seafood noodles and Penang Fried Kway Teow (both signature dishes) are above average. The prawns are very fresh! We enjoyed a quick and quiet dinner here. No GST here! ✌️
