My pizza, 🍕 Diavola, had a mystery meat taste to it, like it didn’t warm up or cook in the oven, crust was doughy and really not very good. The waitress was very nice and attentive. People say it’s not what it once was, I gave it one last chance, but based on my experiences there, it never was. The pizza took a decent photograph.
View on GoogleThis is my family’s top 3 favorite restaurant, based on the many times we have returned, and have never been disappointed. We almost end up ordering many same dishes again and again. The squid ink pasta with extra squid ink sauce is the best we have had. Comes with well seasoned and perfectly cooked prawns. The Calamari is very nicely battered and comes with a tomato and a tartar based sauce on the side. We always get pork as the wife doesn’t take beef. Well seasoned and perfectly cooked with a hint of pick inside. We keep coming, most certainly because we love the food, and also parking is conveniently across the road, service is always great. Really good.
View on Google10min walk to another neighbourhood fixture, Bruno’s bistro. Had their entrecôte with bearnaise and fries for 22++. Very tasty. About 4 different red wines by the glass on the menu. Hope to see some new by the glass offerings rotated through soon, as we’ve been back so often that we’ve exhausted that list by now. Definitely recommended.
View on GoogleNever been to this outlet. Previously went to the main restaurant and it was great. Here is great as well... Steak was cooked the way i like it.... Between rare to medium rare.. (Usually when we order medium rare, by the time the steak comes and rest, it becomes medium) The red wine sauce for steak is super good!!! Steak is also well seared. The fats at the side were nicely charred without affecting the doneness of my steak! The set lunch is worth it! $24+ (plus service charge) The tower salad is good!!! So many different things but the taste of each item compliment one another. The cheese to the cranberries to the sauce. The pasta is a bit too soft for my liking but the sauce has so much depth. You can taste the different flavours. I swirl it in my mouth and let the flavours come out slowly... O.m.g. Tiramisu taste like normal chocolate cake though But its a decent chocolate cake to end the lunch.
View on GoogleJust ordered arrabiata pasta and tomato soup for takeaway. Both are absolutely bland. The only taste in the pasta is some kind of misplaced sweetness. The soup feels like it was straight out of a can. Very disappointing, made worse given that the pasta is $22++. Not how I remember Bruno’s to be. Definitely won’t be back.
