One of the famous delicacies in Anson Town is the ‘Chee Cheong Fun’. It is very different from the traditional Hong Kong Chee Cheong Fun which usually stuffed with shrimps and serve wet. Anson Town Chee Cheong Fun normally served dry and with some green chili pickles.

The anson chee cheong fun certainly taste like the one in its hometown save for the presentation. The Ipoh coffee is splendid. Pumpkin cake(the yam cake is much nicer) , Curry pig skin ccf , Penang laksa and Yong tau fu are decent. Sadly, it will be closing on 20 October 2025

Anson Town, a cozy eatery on the slip lane off Changi Road, is closing after many years. It's been my go-to place for Ipoh cuisine for more than a decade. I'll miss the rich Ipoh White Coffee, the generous servings of delicious homemade yam cake with tantalising sweet and spicy sauces, and the nasi lemak with chicken chop or fried ikan selar and their irresistible sambal. I'll miss the array of chee cheong fun—the nostalgic curry version, the plain traditional, and the unique stuffed variety with pickled green chilli slices (Anson special). The tau sar piah, heong piah, and 'lor por peng' will also be greatly missed. Thank you, Michelle, the lady boss, and her hospitable crew for serving up delicious and affordable Ipoh cuisine all these years.

Had a lovely breakfast at Anson Town Café (324P Changi Road) — a great spot for authentic Malaysian food! Tried the famous Ipoh Chee Cheong Fun, curry noodles, steamed yam cake, and soya beancurd — all were delicious and satisfying. The café is clean, cozy, and the staff are warm and friendly. A perfect place for a relaxing morning meal. Will definitely be back to try more!

This is what I called a "quaint" breakfast food shop, so you will be surprised with lots of familiar but uniquely prepared food. The key ingredient here is soft kway teow of chee cheong fun. They make it in different ways: burnt form, thin sheets, thick sheets, presented in many ways. Such as curry, ipoh hor fun, laksa kway teow... a few more cheong fun new expressions. The chinese biscuits are very very good. It's light and not densed, it has very well made ingredients inside, that are tasty and moist. You have to try it! The Yong Tau Foo is also very tasty, the broth is rich and flavourful. The bittergoard, eggplant, beancurd sheets are all delicious and lightly savoury! There are other local delights like Nasi Lemak, Rojak, Ipoh Curry Mee, Asam Laksa, they all looks so good (will try in the next visit). From the feedback of the customers there, they emptied their plates an looking very satisfied. Truly this is a great place to go for a local food bonanza, with innovative twists. I won't comment about their pork skin dishes, which is 100 saturated fat (cholesterol) that clogs up your arteries, and makes your heart are crampy at night... So make time to go in the morning, have it slow, and enjoy it. Highly recommend it!

Having eaten here several times during COVID, I recently returned after a three-year hiatus. The food remains incredibly amazing for its affordable price, offered in an air-conditioned setting with that distinct Malaysian eatery vibe. It's truly a gem in this part of Singapore.
