We haven't been here for many years so it was a good surprise to find the food so tasty. Can't remember what we ordered the last time but they were dishes without gravy. This time I had the Baked Miso Salmon on a bed of mash while hubby had the Double Chilli Crab pasta. We agreed that both were delicious. I asked for less salt and the miso flavour was light and a bit on the salty side. However, it went very well with the mash. So much so that I ordered a piece of their sourdough bread to soak up the gravy. The bread was toasted. Very yummy to clean up both our plates. Hubby was surprised the chilli crab pasta was actually chilli hot. He was not expecting that but he enjoyed it. The portions were substantial too so that our tummies were happily full. Because the meal was so good, we decided to end with the Apple Crumble. It's a deconstructed dessert with big chunks of stewed apple, blueberries, caramel sauce under cookie crumble, with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream. We finished the night with sweet memories. Just nice as we did a 5.7km Rail Corridor trek before our late dinner. Will definitely come again to try the rest of the mains.

I have been to this cute corner cafe several times to dine in or take way for past 10 years. The food quality is awesome and serving is good portion. I am happy they have managed to continue at this location for the residents around Bedok Reservoir which is a refreshing option to the Asian food around the area. I had pulled port tortillas and it was enough for one Pax. It was great tho I would like the cream a little more. The camomile tea has a very nice Fragrance and it makes me want drink more of it. Will come by again 😋

I wanted to like this place, but the experience was quite frustrating to ignore. The main issue is the lack of organisation. Despite putting my name on the queue list and we were the next coming up, I I saw a couple who arrived after me get seated first just because the guy of the couple kept asking and then went inside straight. Then, after ordering, I waited for more than half an hour for my food, while those same tables with similar orders were already eating. And I didn't even have my coffee yet at that time, which was just a long black. The food itself was decent though, which is the main reason I'm giving two stars instead of one. However, it wasn't special enough to make up for the chaotic service and long wait. Also, be aware that the drink portions are quite small. Based on experience, I don't recommend visiting during weekends brunch time.

Renewing the 5 star review 5 years ago. Food wise: Their previous maple wings were great, renewed honey wings are abit bland and the chewy skin is not my favourite. The salmon used in the salmon mentai don is not fresh. Fishy taste was very prevalent. Service: Came here on a weekday night with almost no crowd and the manager attitude was not great. Probably that they are “popular” and thus service is not a concern. 1. Manager seemed sarcastic to the young staff. Staff delivered a wrong order to our table and we were explaining to him. Before we could finish our sentence, the manager observing behind the counter told him “they said it’s the wrong order so bring back here” while gesturing him. Not a pleasant scene for dining customers. 2. Inflexible order. Asked for purchase of white rice for my toddler and it was a flat out no x2 (“we dont have that”) which was strange as they sell rice bowls. We bought the aforementioned not nice salmon mentai don to take out the rice for our toddler. 3. Started expressing clear indication to clear our tables 30mins before closing time. We were still eating and there’s still food in our bowls.

First and foremost I came to this place just before the 12pm which is usually the lunch hour so we didn’t have to wait at all for a table. Even so, it was already quite crowded on the inside so take note of avoiding peak hours if you can. The interior of the cafe is not a large space at all as the tables and chairs for two seaters are quite close to each other. The table itself is perfectly fine for 2 mains and a pair of drinks but it is quite a squeeze when a side is added into the mix. I would want to say that the service is great as the staff were very friendly but an incident occured whereby a couple sat beside us and got the mushroom soup first when we already finished ordering even before they arrived. So I would say this is a mistake on the staff. The food is decent but not the best. I wouldn’t say it is worth the price as I’ve been to other cafes whose food tasted way better for about the same cost. I couldn’t taste anything special with the Pull Pork Benedict as there wasn’t much seasoning to flavour the dish. With one mouthful of the dish, it just tasted like bread, pork, and eggs without much extra flavour to it. The mushroom soup is okay albeit a bit thick for my liking, though it tastes good when paired with the pair of sourdough break provided. As the for the dish named “FULL TANK” some of the ingredients are good but some are underwhelming. Everything on the plate is flavourful except the scrambled egg which tastes like something I can cook at home and the sautéed mushroom which barely tastes like it’s been sautéed. All in all, I think it is a good place to try if you don’t mind and if you’ve not been here before. However, personally I don’t think I would be coming back here anytime soon. The food is inconsistent in taste and lack flavour for some ingredients. My first time there and staff made a mistake of giving the same dish we ordered to another customer even though we ordered before the came in.
