another weekend search for good food. ended in bedok north for braised duck. the braised meat was nice but not braised long enough. it was a good and satisfactory meal. we had braised duck, braised meat and deep fried wanton with porridge, kway chap and rice. the sweet savory sambal chilli was my fav. overall nice lunch.

Was here for a late lunch and ordered the Kway Chap set for 2 costing SGD 10.50, which was reasonably priced. The 2 bowls of Kway Chap and mixed Braised meat platters serving portions were sufficient. Unfortunately the Kway Chap was bland and anemic in flavour. The braised meats platter consisted of al dente pork innards but the braising sauce lacked flavour. The accompanying chili sauce dip was average and weak. Will we be back to patronise this stall again? Unfortunately not.

04.06.25 $5 for Duck rice set / decent plate with enough meat, half egg well braised, n countable 5 big braised peanuts, 3 slices of tofu n some salted vege. The herbal soup n chilli was nice. No complains. Funny that I heard their 2 staff chat - "their meat was more firm, ours was....". (i din hear d rest)

I had a very disappointing experience at Yew Kee (Bedok Interchange Hawker). I clearly ordered 卤鸭饭 ($4), but the staff prepared 招牌卤鸭饭 ($5) instead. When I pointed out the mistake, I explained that I had specifically asked for 卤鸭饭. Instead of acknowledging the error, the staff insisted that I had ordered the 招牌卤鸭饭 and even accused me of not mentioning that I wanted the regular 卤鸭饭. Despite the mistake being made by the staff, I was pressured into paying for the more expensive meal that I did not order. It wasn’t about the extra $1—it was the poor customer service, refusal to take responsibility, and the way I was treated. Very disappointed with the service and hope the staff receive better training in both order accuracy and customer service. Will not be back again.

The kway chap here is a disappointment. The appearance looks so uninviting . Taste abit sour. Ate halfway can't stand it decided to write a review. The china lady was chatting away with her colleague even when I'm standing right in front of her wanting to order. I have to call out to her before she ask me what I want . It's a hawker , so no special atmosphere.
