Excellent Late-Night Supper Spot in Bedok ​Stopped by Syed Cafe (Bedok Shopping Complex) for a late-night meal, and it definitely delivered. ​Damage (The Bill): Total came out to S$12.20 for a full meal and a large drink—reasonablepricing for the portion size and quality! ​Mutton Chop: S$8.50 / ​Tea (Large): S$2.70 / ​GST (9%): Included. ​Food (Mutton Chop): The serving size is huge and easily satisfying for a hungry appetite. The mutton slices are tender with minimal gamey taste, smothered in a thick, rich, and intensely spiced gravy that carries just the right amount of heat. It comes loaded with a pile of crispy fries (perfect for dipping into the gravy), fresh cucumber and onion slices, and a fried egg with a rich, runny yolk. ​Drinks (Tea): Ordered a large tea, which was served piping hot in a generous glass mug. It has a great balance—rich, aromatic, and distinctly smooth with just the right level of sweetness from the condensed milk layer at the bottom. ​Environment & Service: Clean, well-lit, and spacious with both indoor air-conditioned and outdoor sheltered seating. Even close to midnight, the atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed. Service from the staff was prompt, friendly, and efficient from ordering to receiving the food. ​Highly recommended if you're looking for flavorful comfort food, generous portions, and great value late at night!

We have been coming to Syed Cafe Bedok for Chef Sunjay’s mandi for the past two years, and it has consistently been excellent. The lamb is always incredibly tender, juicy and full of flavour, while the fragrant mandi rice is perfectly seasoned. The portions are very generous, and the grilled vegetables, green chutney and spicy sauce complete the meal beautifully. The consistency in taste and quality is what keeps bringing us back. Easily one of our favourite mandi places in Singapore—highly recommended for families and groups!

My family to go place for delicious food! Love their mandi lamb shank especially, its so buttery soft and it falls off the bone.. Rice is always fragrant and light. I underestimated how good the food is here. Its a must try. Third time having the mandi lamb and it didn’t disappoint. Its a huge portion tho so good to share. Chef is friendly and welcoming.

Chicken mandhi rice served on a platter that looked so delectable. It came with chutney and soup. First sip of the soup was tasty, not too overpowering with salt. I could not stop praising the mandhi rice and soft chicken after the first mouthful. It was money well spent. Will certainly come back for more.

I travelled here for the food, and it was my first time dining at Syed Cafe Simpang Bedok. The Lamb Shank Mandi was the highlight of the evening—it was a 10/10 experience for me. It’s a must-try for anyone who loves lamb shank. Chef Sanjay gave us a warm welcome and made sure we were well taken care of throughout our meal. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding, and I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommended!
