Mar 29 - lunch: Five of us, the family, including our 6 y.o. grandson decided to have lunch at Collins Bedok Blk 217. Being frequent customers, we had the different orders including the fish and chips of which is my grandson's favorite. When the fish and chips was served, horror of horrors, it was sliced sooooo thin and over fried. Brought it up to the service crew and he nonchantly replied, " it's the boss instruction" .. No choice but to carry on with the meal. Upon my grandson's first bite, he said that the fish doesn't taste like fish.. We just told him to keep eating. Halfway through his fish, we decided to take a bite of the fish.. To our horrors, the fish was bad.Bad as in rotten. Again we brought it up to the crew, and they just refunded the price for the fish and chips, and in the same breath, responded by saying its the company new instructions to use the " new" fish instead of their usual Dori. We intend to take legal action against Coins for selling spoilt food and will be writing to the SFA to take action.. Collins standards and quality has slipped tremendously.....maybe after making millions, the owner has forgotten that it's the customers who helped him where he is now. Very disappointed and angry.. We won't be eating at any Collins from now on... Eat at your own risk
View on GoogleSo so only. Price wise slightly more expensive for kopitiam range. Taste wise is so-so only. They have cushioned seats which is a plus but area is open door concept so can be warm on some days evening in the evening. Especially during march. Overall mediocre experience.
View on GoogleOrdered pork chop with onion ring, veg salad and corn cob sides and a mushroom soup. Onion ring was cold and soggy. Made another fresh batch the rings are still soggy, not crispy and noion taste. The garlic stick that came with the soup was cold and hard as rock. Pork chop was a 5mm thin slice and over cooked. After nearly finish the pork chop, realises they did not give me the corn cob side. Got short changes. Will not return
View on GoogleLike the pork and sausage set, will always order this dish whenever visit the stall. Price is cheaper than restaurant and food is tasty and yummy. The stall is located inside a coffee shop so not air-conditioned.
View on GoogleRidiculously burnt. Can’t eat at all. Can’t believe Colin’s has the decency to serve burnt inedible food. Salad was slopping wet as well.
