Soon Lee has been a reliable favorite for years, and their pork porridge and macaroni soup still taste as good as ever. The pork porridge is the absolute star here. It has a beautiful, silky-smooth consistency that isn’t too watery or gluey, packed with pork slices, tender liver, and minced meat. Tip: Definitely mix an egg into the piping hot bowl—it makes the texture incredibly rich and velvety! If you're dining with kids or prefer a lighter option, their macaroni soup is excellent too. The broth is soothing and easy on the stomach, and it comes with a surprisingly juicy meatball and two quail eggs which add a nice touch. Everything is served piping hot and full of comforting, nostalgic flavor. Highly recommended!

Recommended to this by our friend for awhile now and finally got to try it having looked around for a new lunch spot - but wasn’t really impressed with it.. 💰 At $5.50, I was really expecting quite a lot for a porridge, both in flavours and ingredients. 🥣 when they served it up to us, it looked pretty good aesthetically - with youtiao and fried shallots and salted vegs showered atop the porridge. However, the youtiao was stale, which made it really bad flavour and texture wise.. I also didn’t like the salted vegs and there’s unfortunately too much of it. 🐖 the meat slides and meat balls honestly weren’t great too - can’t taste the flavours of it, like it wasn’t marinated.. I can’t find any plus points for it other than the fact that it wasn’t too hot (not sure if this is a plus), making consumption easy unlike other porridges which are piping hot.

There were 3 of us. We ordered from multiple stalls, and every other stall was fine giving extra plates — except this one. I was rudely told that because we ordered only one bowl of porridge, we were NOT allowed an extra empty bowl to share. Completely absurd, petty, and unprofessional. Lady in the picture - seriously attitude issue. On top of that, the porridge itself was terrible — stale, bland, tasteless, and absolutely not worth the time or money. Lousy service, lousy food. Won’t return. Stay away. ⭐☆☆☆☆

Love the macaroni mixed organs soup and they always give so many ingredients, really eat until so satisfied. The soup looks so clear but tastes so umami.
