Today I went to purchase one turtle soup back home form this shop. I am a regular for the past 20 years. I am astonished that the portion is so small and the sale staff keep pushing the biggest portion. To be fair to consumer the size for the largest should be SGD 25 max and not SGD38. Even in today high inflations. Consumer should be better received for our money paid. Do look at the photos attached. My advise is go other shop in Geylang , Leng Kee, Toa Payoh. MSG a lot and this will be my last time I visit the shop.

It has been a while since I visited. Restaurant now renovated very nicely with Chinese paintings and calligraphy. Service was friendly and efficient and most importantly the turtle soup still tasted as good. I used to order the $17 version but today decided the more expensive $28 version. Eggs and intestine were added and the bowl was slightly larger. The sinful piece of fat was my favourite (see photo) and there were two! Yam rice was still available and the chilli sauce was still as good, with a dash of soya sauce added.

Ser Seng Herbs Turtle Soup is one of those places that truly lives up to its reputation. I ordered the $38 mixed meat turtle soup with intestines and eggs, and it was absolutely worth it. The herbal broth was the highlight—deep, rich, and well-balanced, with a comforting aroma that shows it’s been brewed for hours. It wasn’t overly bitter or medicinal; instead, it had a smooth, savoury depth that makes you want to keep sipping. You can tell this is a recipe refined over many years. The mixed meats were generous and well-prepared. The turtle meat was tender and flavourful, not gamey at all, while the intestines were cleaned properly and cooked just right—soft with no unpleasant smell. The eggs soaked up the herbal broth beautifully, adding another layer of richness to the dish. Portion size was satisfying, especially for the price point, and the quality of ingredients stood out. Service was efficient and no-nonsense, very much in line with a traditional eatery that focuses on doing one thing well. This is the kind of place you come to when you want something hearty, nourishing, and full of character. Whether you’re a first-timer or a regular, Ser Seng Herbs Turtle Soup delivers a consistently comforting experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic herbal turtle soup in Singapore. Definitely a spot I’ll return to when I’m craving something warm and restorative.

This is the 1st time visited Ser Seng Herbs restaurant. Tried many places especially in Toa Payoh Lorong 7 for years. The turtle soup does not fail me. Soup and meat is enough for a person with the price at $17. It tastes delicious and meat, soup was fragrant The service was great. Tell them what u want and it will be served by them The Atmosphere was alright, it was aircon restaurant and won’t feel hot after eating the turtle soup meal. There was fish pond outside the restaurant as well
