A very satisfying meal from MacPherson Minced Meat Noodles. The dry noodles were springy and coated evenly with a savoury sauce, making every bite flavourful without being overly salty. The braised chicken feet were soft, tender and well infused with the gravy. The accompanying soup was another highlight. It came with a generous serving of minced meat, pork slices, pork liver and eggs in a comforting, flavourful broth. The ingredients tasted fresh and were cooked nicely, especially the tender liver. Portions were generous and the prices were very reasonable. There was a queue, but the food was definitely worth the wait. A hearty and delicious old-school noodle meal that I would gladly return for again!

Visited on a Saturday afternoon and was pleasantly surprised that there was no queue. I ordered the Xiao Wan Mian with Braised Pork Trotters ($8.50). The mee pok was cooked perfectly with a nice springy texture. The soup was flavourful and came with plenty of ingredients, making it a satisfying bowl. The braised pork trotters were tender and well-braised, though they had a slightly gamey taste that might not be for everyone. Overall, everything was above average and well executed. While it didn’t quite have the “wow” factor that would make me go out of my way for it, it’s still a solid bowl that I’d happily have again if I’m in the area.

I live just down the road, so maybe I don't have traveller's remorse. I've had this BCM a couple of times and I think it's okay. Like, its good? But if you live really far away, I *personally* don't think you need to make a special trip down. The noodles are cooked well, and the flavour is good. There aren't meatballs, but there is liver and pork slices, and fish cakes. For $5 you get the normal BCM. I opted for meepok simply because i prefer it, but i dont think mee kia would change anything. The soup, is actually quite nice! He uses the same water that they use to cook the meat, and noodles, so its very flavourful and rich, without being too heavy. You should add vinegar (jia^ chu, for you non-chinese people), as i think it bolsters the flavour quite a bit. Enjoy!

Its signature Minced Meat Noodles/Bak Chor Mee (肉脞面) start from S$5.00. I ordered the Mee Kia soup, served with minced pork, sliced pork, pork liver, braised mushrooms, & fishcake, with an additional S$3.00 for fish maw. The soup is rich & cloudy, turning darker with a savory sweet depth after being mixed with the mushroom gravy. It was slightly disappointing that there was no pork lard & tee poh/dried sole fish flavour, but overall, it was still a satisfying bowl of springy, al dente noodles in a flavorful broth.

Chanced upon a recent feature on social media and recalled I actually have this stall pinned for years. Finally made a trip down on a Saturday, past the lunch hour but was surprised to see a queue. I'm not sure if these people watched the same video haha. All the add-on ingredients were sold out, but I was famished so I went with the biggest bowl item ironically called Xiao Wan Mian with Mee Kia, $7 paid with CDC vouchers. I was pleased that the portion size matched the photo, which doesn't happen very often. On the first bite, I understood their popularity: the noodles are perfectly cooked, springy texture with each strand coated in the tasty sauce. I asked for extra spicy, and they genuinely delivered. The sauce had a sweet note through, which I balanced with the self-service vinegar. I found it interesting that they told a patron they don't add tomato sauce when I went back grab more vinegar so the source of the sweetness is a mystery. The pork lard toppings were perfectly crispy, but I didn't see any Tee Poh though. Anyhow, the noodles were perfectly seasoned. Now, for the soup: it was full of flavours and loaded with fresh ingredients. Besides the generous amount of pork slices and tender livers, I even got bits of intestine and fish dumplings, which was a pleasant surprise. Considering the portion size and variety of ingredients, I think this is better value than the standard bowl. If there's anything I can nitpick, it would be the missing lettuce, which I think would have elevated the soup. There's only one person making the noodles, and I waited around 15 minutes in total. Many patrons place multiple bowl orders, so if you are a large group, you have got to be patient.
