Decent spread of items for $7 only and it is worth eating. In fact, I first ate at their first shop at Kelantan Road last year. There are sweet sour prawns, fish, fried eggs, curry chicken, vegetable items, e-mee, fried rice, laksa and 'shark fins' soup. Enjoyed the prawns (though not super fresh but still taste good) and curry chicken most. Laksa and 'shark fins' soup aren't great! Also, got ordinary cakes and fruits like honeydew and watermelon. Items are monitored and replenished by staffs, under the watchful eyes of the lady boss. Nowadays, with 'cai png' costing much more, I think it's quite worth to eat there. I see 'cai png' stalls at other coffeeshops there are quite empty, and I believe they are losing customers to this buffet outlet!
View on GoogleGreat choice of free flow food at affordable price @ only $7 including laksa and desserts! Love it, especially when these are high protein food like chickek, fish, prawns, tofu, etc. for someone who workout/jog daily like me hehe 😋 Such generous buffet is rare and has attracted multiple content creators, so kinda expected to see one during my first visit. Lady boss never fails to keep herself busy checking out constantly to make sure food gets readily topped up, and ushering and finding tables for incoming diners - that's high level service we are talking about. Briefly spoke and gave some positive feedback to the lady boss before i left :) Time to work hard to shake off the extra kgs gained XD P.s would be more balanced if an egg dish like water-fried egg or steam egg can be included
View on GoogleJia Le Kopitiam have taken over this cozy corner of Jalan Berseh by the long Kang, which used to be River Cafe. Also with them, was their signature 131 Mookata which is known for their eat-all-you-want buffet at 19.90. Hearsay they are in a mission to give back to the community thus implementing this $7 Lunch Buffet. It was packed with residents and nearby office people! We even caught a glimpse of Mayor Dennis Phua when we were leaving!
View on GoogleGreat discovery of 131 Mookata which is just a short walk from Tai Seng MRT Exit A. We satisfied our Mookata cravings with super shiok unlimited serving of fresh ingredients, marinated meat and seafood to enjoy in 2 ways - Thai style BBQ and hotpot with no GST and no service charge. Free flow home made sauces paired perfectly with the wide range of grilled meat. We are impressed with their wide variety of spread which are neatly arranged: 1) Inhouse marinated meat includes: Tomyam Chicken, Soy Pork, Honey Garlic Pork, Miso Teriyaki Chicken, Thai Basil Chicken and many more. 2) Seafood includes: Tiger Prawns, Dory Slice, Scallop and even crayfish of good size. and so many more... We love that the coffeeshop is well ventilated and accessible location from Tai Seng MRT. Perfect spot to gather your friends & family and head down to 131 Mookata for an enjoyable Mookata feast at wallet friendly price today! Price limited to 2 hours per table: 🫕Adult $19.90 nett 🫕Kid $9.90 (5-12yrs old)
View on GoogleAte cai png (economic rice) and it was so affordable! One fish and one vegetable —only $3!!! Plus free bowl of soup. Where to find such good prices? Only bummer is the heat because of the open air, but it’s tolerable.
