A heartland classic. With a wet market below & hawker stalls upstairs, it still feels very much like old-school Singapore. Best visited in the morning for breakfast or lunch, this simple, no-frills place holds plenty of neighbourhood charm & memories.

Love the food there. Old school taste. But due to the increase of cost, some sellers have to reduce the portion, which we fully understand. The table arrangement are close therefore may consider to have more space for those disabled person on wheelchair.

Come here for breakfast frequently before going to work. No problem getting a table. There are enough options for breakfast. Most stalls would be closed on Mondays. I particularly like Ching Ching Coffee Stall. Cofee and service are good.

This rating is not about the hawker center but about this stall 东来顺招牌咖厘 as I couldn't find their name in Google Map. I order #25 (curry yong tau foo with chee cheong fun), $5. As other picture got rice, I asked the China woman if it comes with rice, she replied yes, no other word uttered. When she gave the dish to me and I gave $10, she returned me $4.50. I thought the rice was 50 cents. So, I asked where is the chee cheong fun. She pointed to the rice. The #25 is listed $5, she charged me $4.50 but replaced chee cheong fun with rice. Even if it is a direct swap, shouldn't it be still $5 and returned me $5? She was crude and has the audacity to tell me I don't understand. I didn't even bother to urgue with her that the dish should be cheaper since rice is cheaper than chee cheong fun as she has displayed as #21 $2.50. After I challenged her logic, she unwillingly and grouchyly returned me $5 and took back the 2 $2 and 50 cents.

Recently renovated Market & Food Centre … So everything looks nice! Came Monday but only 4 stores open. Came today (unfinished business) to try this Curry Chee Cheong Fun. I like it but different ppl different taste. 3 of us seniors finished our bowl. Hope you like it too.
