Portion size is generous and the pricing is quite attractive. Food was served quickly, which is good if you’re in a hurry. The dishes look Thai, but personally I didn’t find the flavours very authentic. Overall, it’s decent for filling the stomach, but not a place I would go to specifically for authentic Thai taste. Best to judge for yourself.
View on GoogleAuthentic Thai food alert! 🇹🇭🌶️ Very authentic Thai food — but thankfully not so spicy until I have to call my ancestors for help. 😂🌶️ The Tom Yam Clear Soup was fantastic, packed with so much ingredients that it practically came with its own population census. 🍲😂 Woon Sen Seafood was yummy, nicely balanced and not overly sour. And the squid… cooked to perfection! Tender, juicy and definitely NOT rubbery like a Michelin-rated tyre. 😂🦑 The Basil Pork Rice tasted just like the ones I had in Bangkok. Simple, satisfying and very legit. 🇹🇭 Pandan Chicken — CMI. Seriously. DON’T ORDER. Let’s just pretend we never met. 😆 Four dishes came to slightly over $30-ish, and the portions are generous enough for 3 people. Now THAT is what I call value for money. And before anyone asks — this is NOT my first visit. I keep coming back, so obviously something is working! 😂 Staff are super friendly, which always makes the food taste even better. Only one small complaint: the place is a little warm. But then again, maybe that’s part of the whole “authentic Thailand” experience. 🇹🇭🤣 Overall: 👍👍👍 Just skip the Pandan Chicken and bring your appetite!
View on GoogleThe portions are generous and definitely offer good value for money. However, the flavors lean more towards Chinese-style cooking rather than authentic Thai. The steamed seabass at $14.90 is a standout, lhighly recommended. The tom yum soup is notably sour but lacks spiciness, though the prawns in it were excellent. As for the broccoli with prawns, it’s made entirely with frozen crystal prawns, which unfortunately don’t taste great. The Pad Thai is overly sweet and otherwise unremarkable. Overall, it’s an okay place for a meal.
View on GoogleThe place: Thailily Restaurant This restaurant, located in a shop under a HDB block at Toa Payoh, offers a selection of authentic Thai food at a wallet friendly price. Thai Crispy Egg Salad ($6): a salad of vegetable, onions, herbs and fried eggs, tossed with a tangy spicy dressing, it was a refreshing appetiser to start the meal. The four fried eggs in the salad were a bit too heavy going though. Rice with Basil Pork ($4.5, set with a fried egg): The pork, fried with a basil flavoured gravy was tender. The gravy was delicious and thick. Thai Green Iced Tea ($3): the tea flavour could have been stronger, although it's not too sweet. The verdict: a restaurant that offers good value Thai cuisine
View on GoogleFood and taste is okay but very oily The prawn mooncake doesn’t have much prawn . Suggest to try soup base dishes
