Visited this humble caffe near Toa Payoh Hub, which offers an extensive selection of beverages ranging from matcha to coffee. I tried their Lazy Duck Matcha and found it quite enjoyable overall If you’re a fan of creamy, cloud-like drinks, this would likely be right up your alley. The matcha flavour wasn’t particularly bold or prominent, as the creamy texture takes center stage, but it was still a pleasant and well-balanced drink overall The store also offers a selection of freshly baked buns and butter toast, making it a nice spot for a light snack alongside your beverage Overall, while the matcha may not stand out for those who prefer a stronger, more robust matcha taste, it’s still an enjoyable drink and worth trying. I mean come on, the duck is surely the star of the show ✨
View on GoogleLying duck iced matcha and Butter-glazed rice cake (3pc) for $5.90 and $3 respectively - Lying duck was a sweet gummy candy while the matcha was creamy matcha foam with fresh milk sprinkled with matcha powder on top so don't expect a strong matcha flavour. I absolutely loved the butter-glazed rice cake. Fragrant and buttery, crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. They also provide samples to try so definitely give them a try.
View on GoogleSurprised find in such an old estate area. Owners are from hangzhou apparently, vibes are great, prices are very reasonable for the quality. They have some nice mochi bakes as well, tried their free sample but didn’t buy. Got their popular duck matcha for $5.90. The duck is a chewy marshmellow more for presentation and to distinguish themselves but honestly does nothing to the flavor.
View on GoogleThis is a vibey place that sells a variety of drinks. I got the strawberry matcha latte and the matcha to milk ratio was perfect. Milk wasn't too overpowering and the matcha aftertaste was subtle but strong enough to linger. Strawberries were fresh, chunky and juicy. The store owners were very nice to wait for me to finish my drink before closing up (didn't realise they were closing until they started keeping the chairs, totally my bad!) i'll be back to try other drinks in their menu 🥰
View on GoogleI saw the floating duck on matcha and I told myself I had to visit this place to try it. Visited on a weekday afternoon around lunchtime, the place was rather quiet there were only two other customers sitting outside the shop. Had to scan the QR to order the drinks. There were quite a lot of drinks but I just wanted to try the only one, but I also came across the mint chocolate which made me ordered another drink to takeaway. Thank god I ordered and suddenly two other big groups of people came to check out the place. My drink was prepared and served promptly. People saw me drinking the duck matcha and they thought it was interesting and they ordered it too. The duck is basically a marshmallow floating on the matcha and the lady would give you a stick cookie which has fortune on it. It was meant for fun but the main purpose was for stirring the drink. I didn't order any bread or snacks, was thinking of ordering the mochi but they placed some on the plate for samples, not really my kind of food though. Enjoyed the matcha drink and I do recommend trying but please do not order as a takeaway as the folks will put a lid on it which will destroy the aesthetics if you want to take pictures. Also couldn't resist drinking the mint chocolate and I drank it on the way back. It was okay and I felt the mint taste wasn't strong enough. Not a bad place, though the drinks were reasonably priced and I think it's worth the visit. Won't visit it specially but if the chance comes am around the area will drop by to try again. Looks like they also spent quite a bit on the takeaway packaging.
