The fried Hokkien mee was really delicious with generous portions of fresh prawns, sotong and pork belly. If they can offer beehoon mixed noodles, that can add greatly to the texture of the dish. The chilli goes really well with the noodles too, need to ask the aunty to give you chilli.
View on GoogleDelicious dang gui duck noodles from the HK Roast meat stall! Their chicken rice is great too! I also enjoy the century egg congee from the dim sum stall (mostly opens in the mornings as they sell out by the afternoon)!
View on GoogleReview of Maxim Tam Jiak Coffee Shop @ Bidadari This coffee shop opened earlier this year and has brought a great variety of eateries to the neighbourhood, making it a lively new dining spot. I came especially to support a friend who recently started their own dim sum stall here — and my review remains completely unbiased. 1. Ding Sheng Fuzhou Dim Sum 鼎盛福州点心 They offer a wide range of dim sum items that can easily cater to everyone’s taste. The prices are reasonable for the portion size and quality, clearly aiming to serve the mass market in this area. In fact, they have enough variety to organize a full dim sum feast with friends. I was quite satisfied with their Char Siew Bao, Chicken Glutinous Rice, Chwee Kueh, and Siew Mai. The Char Siew Bao was soft and fluffy with a generous amount of flavorful char siew filling — really delectable. The Chicken Glutinous Rice had a nice sticky and firm texture with plenty of chicken meat, which I really enjoyed as it’s something I haven’t had for a while. As for the Chwee Kueh, I personally suggested that the pickled vegetables topping could be more roasted for added flavor. The Siew Mai skin was slightly tough, and my friend acknowledged the feedback and said they would work on improving it. Overall, Ding Sheng Fuzhou Dim Sum is a promising addition to the coffee shop — affordable, satisfying, and worth trying if you’re in the area.
View on GoogleOrdered prawn mee and hokkien mee from SongHua and it was really good. Not a big fan of prawn noodles but the taste for this one was just nice (not too salty). Hokkien mee was good too! Edit: went down again to order prawn mee, laksa and hokkien mee! Really good!
View on Google5 ⭐ because I really want this coffee shop to stay open. ⭐ Food from fish shop and fish ball shop is very good. But dim sum is not great. ⭐ For cleanliness. Toilets and hand washing facilities are clean and dry. But dim sum shop ran out of plates and insisted we have our dim sum in plastic bags and takeaway. I had to throw a fit later before they grudgingly put my dim sum in a tiny plate. ⭐ Service from fish shop and fish ball shop is attentive and polite. Helpful too. Dim sum shop - zero stars! ⭐ Ambience of the coffee shop is aight. At 2pm it was a little stuffy. Possibly need more ventilation. But many seats available. No queues at any of the stalls. ⭐ "Will I come again?" Yes. For the fish ball soup. There, 5 ⭐. Who says I'm biased?
