For those who likes nature, and is short of time walking the MacRitchie Hiking Trail or the Treetop Walk… and finds the main botanic garden too commercialized… This short trail is a sample of walking in midst of a typical rainforest in Spore. Very short trail.. about 20-40mins depending if u want to explore all the layouts. And it’s also the closest rainforest experience, at the vicinity of orchard rd area. Go in the morning till late morning to enjoy the fresh air. Other times are also fine. Since most parts are covered by trees…
View on GoogleDespite being a small island state, Singapore offers plenty of biodiversity that is available for all of us. Walk in the woods slowly, dont need to rush at all. Breathe in n out slowly; enjoy the sound of what nature offers us. The nature is to calm overstimulation from artificial and urbanism environments, promote relaxation. Even though is not a long trail, but i took it slowly, stop, look at the animal species, look up the canopy, watch the slender squirrel going with their daily activity. I was inside the rainforest trail for one hour. A very underrated location at Botanical Garden. Check out my videos and photos!
View on GoogleMy first time joining a local guided tour at The Botanic Gardens - rainforest trail. Our guide, Stephen introduced us to many discoveries in this short tour of the rainforest trail within The Botanic Gardens. (Heard of blue marbles, useful rattan, hardy palm trunk for building kelongs, the enormous growth/expansion of a single banyan tree? and much more… ). Learned so much today. I’m definitely going back for their next tour! How do I add photos 😂
View on GoogleThere are three entrances in -- (a) the first near Heliconia Walk, (b) the second near the National Orchid Garden, and (c) the third near the Singapore Botanic Gardens Bandstand. The entrance near Heliconia Walk has steps going up. As you proceed into the entrance near the National Orchid Garden, you will see a "Fifty Wings" Sculpture.
