To me , this is the best attraction in Singapore Botanic Gardens. The atmosphere here is immersive, effectively creating a "Jurassic" mood that feels completely removed from the city. The scenery is curated to tell a visual story: you begin your walk amongst barren volcanic rocks and petrified wood, eventually transitioning into a lush, dense canopy of giant tree ferns and cycads. Honestly, I dig this Evolution Garden more than the National Orchard Garden. It serves as a subtle educational experience, allowing you to physically walk through the timeline of plant evolution rather than just reading about it. It is a well-executed concept that is both photogenic and informative. Note: The initial rock formations radiate significant heat and offer zero shade. Visit early morning or late afternoon for the best experience.

It's like going on an adventure in ancient times and then coming back to the present. The garden has a layout of the evolution of the forest and plants in various forms, such as petrified wood, plants that are ancient and still exist today. This zone provided knowledge while instilling love for the world.

I explored the Evolution Garden at the Botanical Gardens and enjoyed the journey through plant history, from ancient ferns to modern flowering species, with informative displays set in a lush, natural setting.

A nice little walk through path that takes you through the story of evolution. As you walk along the path, not only are there information boards in English and Chinese going through the story of evolution, but the surrounding plants and rocks have been placed and fashioned to try and give an idea of what the Earth looked like at each stage of evolution. Note there are active mosquitoes in this area.

The pillars of petrified wood at the entrance of the Evolution Garden, known as the Trees of Stone. Evolution Garden presents a walk through time starting with primitive plants such as whisk ferns and horsetails before entering the world of lush ferns and flowering plants. A show of the history and development of plants across the planet
