The Ethnobotany Garden is a beautiful and educational place that shows the deep connection between plants and culture. It’s fascinating to see how different plants have been traditionally used for medicine, food, clothing, and daily life by various communities. The garden is peaceful, well-organized, and filled with informative boards that make the walk both relaxing and knowledgeable. It feels like a living museum where nature and history come together. It’s a perfect spot for anyone who loves nature and wants to learn something meaningful while enjoying greenery. A calm, unique, and enriching experience.

Ethnobotany Garden put on display of a diversity of flora that supports human living which include food source, both gathered and cultivated, housing construction materials, medicinal ingredients, as well as handicraft and tools & utensils materials. BAMBOO tree and PALM tree are among some of the most useful and important flora to the indigenous tribes. They can be used to construct houses, make handicraft pieces, everyday tools & utensils, musical instruments, and as food sources.

According to the USDA Forest Service website, ethnobotany is " the study of how people of a particular culture and region make use of indigenous (native) plants." And this is clearly showcased in Singapore Botanic Garden's Ethnobotany Garden, which also has the Centre for Ethnobotany on its premises.
