Second time here and I adore their Thai style kaphrao, which is excellent, my favourite of all their dishes, must try especially if you like spicy food. The pepper crab is also great. All other items are delicious. Great as a celebratory restaurant

Visited Ministry of Crab recently with my family and came away with fairly mixed feelings. Given the restaurant's reputation and positioning, I was expecting a more memorable experience, especially considering the price point. Food quality was ultimately a bit of a hit-and-miss affair. Surprisingly, one of the biggest disappointments of the evening was the highly promoted Crab Liver Pâté. It was honestly one of the weakest dishes we ordered. The pâté itself lacked appeal, while the tiny pieces of bread served alongside felt like an afterthought. More importantly, the two simply didn't work well together as a dish. The reaction around our table was immediate and unanimous — everyone looked at each other wondering if we were missing something because the combination felt completely off. As for the crab itself, it was enjoyable enough and offered a flavour profile quite different from the black pepper and chilli crab styles commonly found at Singapore's zi char restaurants and seafood establishments. The black pepper crab was probably the standout dish of the meal and delivered good flavour. However, the value proposition is where things become harder to justify. We didn't choose the smallest or cheapest crab on the menu, yet the amount of meat felt surprisingly limited for the size and price paid. While the quality was decent, the overall value felt questionable. The environment was undoubtedly one of the stronger aspects of the experience. Located in Dempsey, the restaurant offers comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere that's well suited for a slow dinner and extended conversations. Service was perfectly decent throughout the evening. Staff were professional and efficient, though nothing particularly stood out as exceptional. Overall, an enjoyable setting with some good dishes, but considering the reputation and pricing, I left feeling the experience didn't quite live up to expectations.

Second time at MoC, it’s gotten better. Atmosphere was more relaxed, we were given a booth, much cosier. Service was excellent, restaurant manager Dominic, looked after us. He made some great suggestions after listening to us. The appetisers were perfect and the crab size we chose suited us. Definitely coming back.

I was skeptical about this place because of its corny name and wouldn’t have visited without my friend’s recommendation, but I’m so glad we did! The crab, prawns, clams, and even the plain toasted bread were all amazing. We had the black pepper crab in jumbo size and it was so fresh. The only underwhelming dish was the crab roe pâté. Overall we’re happy with the food and service and will definitely be back.

Visited MOC on a random day that we decided to have crabs. Instead of visiting Jumbo, we decided to try out something new and different. It was a decision we had not regretted. It was raining heavily when we arrived and Jun was waiting at the door with an umbrella to usher us in, the ambiance was unlike jumbo, conversations were easy over quiet yet present music. The crab was not particularly over the top but still delightful nonetheless. I would like to commend Jun for their attentiveness towards our table throughout the meal, thanks for the cocktails!
