Margarita's Dempsey Hill is one of those places that makes dining feel like a mini getaway. The beautiful colonial setting, lush surroundings, and vibrant Mexican atmosphere create a unique experience from the moment you arrive. The food is consistently excellent—flavorful, authentic, and generously portioned. From the tacos and enchiladas to the fresh guacamole and margaritas, every dish is prepared with care and packed with character. The service is attentive, professional, and welcoming, striking the perfect balance between friendliness and efficiency. Whether for a casual lunch, a date night, or a gathering with friends, the restaurant offers a warm and memorable experience. Great food, wonderful ambience, and one of the most charming dining locations in Singapore. A Dempsey classic that never disappoints. 🇲🇽🌮🍹✨

delicious food that's pretty pricey- but that's expected when you're at dempsey enjoyed the tacos especially the beef & softshell crab ones. the grilled chicken & pulled pork platters were smaller than i expected.

It’s honestly quite sad to see how this place has deteriorated over the years. What used to feel vibrant and charming now comes across as rather lacklustre. Service was a real letdown. Despite it being early in the evening with only one other table occupied, there was a noticeable lack of attentiveness. Finished dishes weren’t cleared even as new ones were served, which the staff could clearly see. Service didn’t feel intuitive, warm, or welcoming, just reactive at best. Food and drinks were decent, but given the price point, you’d expect a much better overall experience. The pacing from the kitchen was also poorly coordinated. Some of us had already finished our mains before others even received theirs, which disrupted the entire meal. The ambiance feels dated and worn, with dim lighting that doesn’t quite create the right atmosphere anymore. It feels like the place is relying on nostalgia, a spot families return to out of habit rather than excitement. All in all, it feels like a relic of what it once was, and it’s a pity to see it lose the charm that made it special.

The beef dishes are very good and well-cooked, and the cocktails are nicely balanced and true to flavor. The tortilla was a bit disappointing though — slightly too doughy and not as enjoyable as expected. Overall still a pleasant spot for good food and drinks in a nice setting.

Atmosphere was sooo cute! And the service was very friendly and prompt. Definitely will come back here again for the tacos and the bulldog margaritas!! I regret not having a bigger stomach to eat more.
