A lovely place with such comfortable and welcoming atmosphere! Staff were incredibly friendly and always smiling, which made the experience even better. The hojicha cheesecake was absolutely delicious! Definitely a must try. The ambience was very relaxing! Overall we had such a wonderful time and would definitely come back again!
View on GoogleJust tried Table for Two Kaya by the standard. Place is great, staff is friendly, free parking available. Food is not good at all. Food plating was great but the taste wasn’t. Tuna stack was great but it went downhill from there onwards. Cod fish was not fresh at all and the rice cracker was a weird combination. Sweet cheeks was much too fatty and gelat. I would not come back again. I thought dessert should be fine but again the Madeleines was way too dry and not harmonious…. Would not recommend this for TFT, go to other place. Overall TLDR Service is great but food wasn’t.
View on GoogleHad complimentary breakfast at Kaya as part of a stay in The Standard and no regrets adding this to our stay. Though the menu is small, everything is prepared on receiving your order so the food is served hot. All the dishes are so unique, being either Japanese fusion or iconic Singaporeans dishes and were so tasty. The servers were also very friendly. One of our servers, Kaye, was so patient and attentive, and made us really welcomed with her bright smile. Our experience led us to dine at kaya for dinner as well since the food was so good. Thank you to everyone at Kaya!
View on GoogleLove the twist! I didn't expect Kaya on the chicken skewers, it was lovely! Love the modern twist to izakayas. The menu really raved the Crab and roe rice but it came a little too wet. Desserts are great!! Overall a lovely experience
View on GoogleStayed for breakfast and was genuinely impressed. The selection is thoughtful, a mix of Western classics and Japanese-leaning Asian dishes, but what really stood out is how well they execute the Asian side. The Japanese/Asian fusion options were easily the highlight. The laksa udon in particular was so comforting and flavourful, probably the best dish on the menu for me. Portions are also well considered, not too heavy, which makes it great if you want to try a bit of everything without feeling overwhelmed. Seating is well spaced too, which makes the whole experience feel a lot more relaxed and not cramped. Service was also very well handled. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, plates were cleared quickly, yet you never feel watched or rushed, which makes the whole dining experience a lot more relaxed. Overall, a really enjoyable breakfast experience. I’d honestly consider staying here again just for the food.
